Of course I must scold you, since I got to the end of this sweet little fic and had a burning desire to go out and adopt a puppy. And a Grissom. Now I have no problem with the Grissom part, but we already have 2 dogs and as it is there is nothing in my wardrobe that is not permanently interwoven with fur. If I end up with another dog, you and I are going to have words, missy! ;) If I end up with Grissom, however, I might just have to bake you a cake! And invite you to our wedding (providing you promise not to jump him).

From another perspective, Madge is great. I always love learning about anyone Grissom is friends, or friendly with. I find him enigmatic, no matter if men aren't 'as mysterious as women think'.

I also love how you painted a picture of the modest town and motel. "A tiny town of no particular beauty rolled slowly by her window." - great line. Totally describes those places between. Very nice story!
