I found you, you change your author name. Please you have to update this story. I have always hated the way Joe's parents and his one and only brother have treated him. High expectations for him because Frank is a straight A student, never really looking to see what Joe might need and want in life and how he might have his own talents. I get angry reading that in your story because your writing makes you or me really feel the betrayel that Joe feels. I just want to slap Frank and his parents over the head and tell them open your eyes. So I guess what I am saying is that this is good writing, especially if you can make me feel the emotions in Joe and why shouldn't he feel that way, he has a right after what they believed about him. Anyway keep writing and update soon. I don't see an update here other then when it was published in 2007. Please update soon if not do you have it on another website to read.

i really love your writing. I love the way you protrayed Joe. my favourite Hardy. I first read Growing Pains in the HDA site. I was waiting and waiting for the sequel ie Lesson learnt for quite some time. Just found this story in this web site today. I am so delightful. BTW, where is the story Day One : First Contact? I search and search but could not locate it. Would love to read it. Here is one authour who protray the other side of Joe that we seldom heard. Good for you! Great writing.

Good one. Sad though. But I always felt that the Hardy's as a family focussed more on Frank's intelligence more than Joe innate talents so this really strikes a chord. BTW is there one story that I missed, one where Joe goes away voluntarily on a heroin stint? Or is that just a setting you used?

I don't know why, but this chapter made me a little sad.

It's very well written, and makes me wonder how the brother's will ever be close again. Maybe that's why I'm sad. As it stands, I don't see Frank and Joe ever being the brother's I know and love...

Gives me something to hope for in the later chapters!
