hahaha omg, I loved reading this! You've captured well the essence and language of the characters, and believe it or not, but I learned quite a new things about Gimli's side of things during the war.
I couldn't stop grinning and laughing the whole way through.
Poor Sam, having to deal with this! I can totally picture them all nitpicking over the smallest details.

Ah, the problems with being best friends with all of the legends of the Age! (And Galadriel is also a Noldo... so that kind of makes no sense... although she is half Telerin... and kudos for the Silm knowledge! I loved the Celebrimbor distinction :) )

Quick, Sam: print off a copy of "While the Ring Went South" and throw it at them: that ought to at least pacify the complaints about the lack of details on the way to Moria. ;)

Oy, no wonder Sam decided to leave the book with Elanor and mysteriously disappeared from Middle-earth...

I found this story laugh-out-loud funny and really wonderful. It's definitely something I'll be coming back to next time I need some quick laughs :)

You are an excellent writer, I am really enjoying working my way through all of your stories, which are all wonderful and unique in their own way.

This story may be mostly inane, as you said, but what does that matter if it's so funny and wonderfully written?

The three of them are that vain! Fretting about such little details no one except for them will ever pay attention to. And Faramir isn't any better - or even worse: first pretending to be saving Sam and then that. The poor Hobbit!

He should have added a disclaimer: "All persons, locations, actions and events are described from the Hobbits' point of view, as the authors observed or were told about them. The report is not exhaustive. Thus it may differ from the experience of other people involved."

But I don't know if that really would have spared him his headache...

I absolutely love this story. It's all pitch-perfect, the characters, the plot bits it picks out on, and it's extremely funny. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it before, I've read it more than once!
