smilingostrich chapter 1 . 7/24/2014 Gahhh... Saddest story I've ever read, I think. But amazingly well-written, I must say that. Enjoyed it. |
Megiddo chapter 1 . 1/29/2014 This one truly broke my heart. I sobbed on my keyboard. Art. |
Snowkid chapter 1 . 5/3/2010 no, he's death. well I love the nanao/ukitake closeness at the end. 2 friends mourning over a death one. but ran-chan is death? ICHIMARU YOU BASTARD! now she has to mourn over 2 friends, maybe more. |
070 chapter 1 . 7/19/2009 You just broke my heart in a million different ways. I did NOT see that coming. The moment I saw "Jyuushiro" instead of "Shunsui" or "Kyouraku-taichou" I just froze, and started going, "No. NO. NO WAY. NO. NO. OMG. NO." (I kid you not) But, gosh. It was beautifully written. Her heartbreak and anguish come through wonderfully in this piece. |
liian risera chapter 1 . 6/21/2009 O_O wow, that quote is really...thought-provoking? And this is a very beautiful piece you wrote :) Geez, all these amazing Shunsui/Nanao fics might just turn me into a fan -_-... fav :D |
Chaerring Trinity chapter 1 . 2/24/2009 Oh he died! and you've got me crying. It's so sad I've never read one where he died before but you wrote it beautifully and movingly. |
fourwalls chapter 1 . 9/4/2008 I also love tragic stories, and yeah, I loved this one. Wow. I am speechless, i think. This is so good, it actually made the hair on my spine stand. I as listening to my ipod and when I came to the part that revealed Kyoraku was dead, the song Nothing Else Matters by Apocalyptica was playing, it really set the mood. But this was really sad. I really love Kyoraku and I really have a bad feeling that they are going to kill someone during the winter war in the manga, and I am fearing that it would either be Kyoraku or Ukitake, or both, both characters I love. Well, I guess the lesson here is that Nanao should have taken that risk, to see if Kyoraku really loved her despite of her thoughts of being 'plain'. I really do think that Kyoraku is just waiting for her to accept his love, but who could blame her for thinking he was just playing around. I love this pairing, complicated. Great job. |
Briz chapter 1 . 8/17/2008 OMG! Truly amazing! I can't believe i did not read this before! I have read others stories and, i dare to say, yours is the best one! U won't believe, but i cried a river when i saw that it was Juushirou with her! I wrote a tragedy for naruto, but mine was not as good as yours (and i dare to say that i am a good writer - at least is what everyone tells me). I will dare a little more (i've already dared a lot here XD): please, can u allow me to translate this wonderful work to my language (portuguese)? There is only one nanao x shunsui in portuguese, and i think that people like this couple, they just don't know how to write. But u wrote a very good one, and i think they should not be deprived of such a good storie. And i would not make your storie look strange, i already have translated one and it was truly good. And your storie wold be a huge success, even in other language! Of course i'd give u all the credits, i'd say i'm only the translator. Please, allow me. Send me a message to answer, even if it's 'no'. Kisses, and congratulations for the wonderful work! |
Lanen chapter 1 . 5/25/2008 Thats was beautiful...because it certainly broke my heart to read it. It brought me to tears. Thank you. |
Airian strife chapter 1 . 2/11/2008 Wow..that was really amazing..I was almost in tears and that's hard to do lol as I refuse to cry...That was so well written and beautiful...Even if it was heartbreaking.. Well done. |
wind of heaven chapter 1 . 12/7/2007 I thought it was a typo, too, when I read "Jyuushiro." I scrolled all the way back up just to check; I just couldn't believe it, it was so unexpected. Your style of writing is so lyrical. :] A sad and beautiful story. And, like all other things beautiful, it breaks the heart. Wonderful how that works out. |
Isee chapter 1 . 12/3/2007 I have the bad habit of searching for and then reading good fanfiction and then . . . not reviewing, but I was listening to "No One" by Alicia Keys and it somehow reminded of this fic. Anyway, I think you did a really good job. At first I was a little confused about the fluffy flash-back when you had mentioned how Nanao got support from "him," but of course you did the a wonderful job of misleading me and dashing my hopes that this would end happily, which made it all the more poignant. Overall, I think this really flows and is really sweet, but one specific thing that I thought was particularly well done was the way you described Nanao meticulously cleaning the piano - it said a lot about her character and her situation. And of course the metaphor of cleaning off her own layer of dust was great. I've gushed enough. Into my favorites you go. |
Tears of a Broken Sniper chapter 1 . 10/26/2007 This is really a story full of angst. The ending is kind of sad. Kyouraku dies and leaves her alone. If it was anymore sad, I might burst into tears. Great story. |
twinkleXIN chapter 1 . 10/6/2007 What a cleverly woven story! It's complex, yet extremely straight-forward as well. The language is beautiful, and I love how you incorporated the prompt. (: And the ending was just shocking. |
Marqania chapter 1 . 10/2/2007 I don't know how much more Shunsui - Nanao heartache I can take. It was bad enough with Rangiku dead, but you had to kill the big lug off too? Are you trying to drive me batty with grief? (Good story.) |
