You do realise that Light would've died anyway, right? Since Rem put 'L Lawliet, dies after being drugged, raped [etc...] by Light Yagami' in the note book she killed then both, because she wrote Light's name down in L's death sentence.
Otherwise, great story

This definitely has more closure than the original ending. It's messed up and... very very messed up... but it seems in character for them to go to such lengths. I loved your writing! Thanks!

I wouldn't think Light would sink that low though. If you guys used the theory that people are conscious when controlled, Light would certainly be scared to death. I don't think he would rape someone. I don't think he is stupid enough to forget the friggin' CAMERAS. So, he, being the stupidly genius he is, would easily deduce he was being controlled by the death note. He, also would be very very mad. All his plans, all thrown to shit, and he can't do a thing about it. He was forced to become what he hated the most damn it, the death note never stated my little Light would be perfectly fine with all of this.
And just a teeny tiny plot hole. Misa does actually have memories of Light, this is the reason Rem didn't kill him when she was forced to kill L. But whatevs, it is an AU right? And one more thingy, since Light confessed to being Kira, and mentioned Misa, Rem should know that Misa would also end up in jail or dead, right?
Other than that I loved every second of
