More like fluent in Google Translate.
While the French in this story wasn't as bad as most other fics, it was still very obviously not proofread and most probably put through a translator. The conjugations of the verbs are so off and the translation is, quite frankly, very literal. French is not a language that can be translated literally, and especially not in the same way as English. You didn't use accents, and if you did, they were used incorrectly. You didn't pay regard to the accords between verbs and nouns or even whether or not the word was masculine or feminine. You used 'il' way too often when describing the vampire (hint, use pronouns). All in all, while it wasn't terrible, I don't think you should proclaim yourself as fluent in French. That's a big thing to boast.
Otherwise, the story was good. It could definitely use some improvement and more detail, but the plot outline was good and the words flowed okay. You could work on fluency and maybe also character development and how to build upon a base idea.
I truly hope I didn't come across as too rude. You have the potential, I know you do. You just have to apply all these concepts into your writing.

I am a little later reading this, but I assure you, had I been reading this as you made each post, I would have reviewed each chapter. I absolutely love this story so far. Please, don't give up on stories halfway through-it's horribly disappointing for both the author and the readers who wait anxiously for every update.
