You got the anxiety right; The feeling of helplessness, the "I thought this was a great idea but now I see I'm in way over my head." The feelings of loneliness and isolation. The desperation. The need to have someone to connect with...

It seems a little cruel of Rory to ask his father that question in that way. I don't believe that Rory as we knew her on the show would ever give someone pain intentionally, and the way you wrote this chapter made her seem conniving and very aware of her actions. Doesn't ring true (although I do really enjoy this story so far!)
