How does Vader suddenly know Leia is his? Padmé told him their daughter died.

Te conversation between Padme and Vader... was intense. But I loved that she said to him the words that we have all been waiting to shout at him.
"The children would have to fight each other, and the survivor would be your pupil. That is, of course, until you grow too old and weak, and then they'll kill you and take your place. And as for me? None of you have need of me. I'm a bleeding heart, a weak link. I would eventually be eliminated. Probably poisoned in my sleep."
Ah. Common sense. So rare a thing in the universe.

I would like to point out that Ani was half-crazy and completely incapable of rational thought when he did THAT to Padme. His first concern when he regained consciousness was his wife's well-being. He has hated himself for killing her & their child ever since. He even attempted suicide once until he realized the best punishment for himself was living.
I would think he'd be apologizing on his knees to Padme for ever doubting her (after he kidnaps and gets her someplace safe and secret especially from Palpatine)

And now Luke has the awkward "pleasure" of informing them about Vader

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! Just wait til Leia sees her mother!
