This is a MUCH better ending than the last chapter. Much better place to stop. I love how Zack and Niki are being like brother and sister here; really cute. Too cute. :) Now to go read that fic between reno and yuffie. ;)

THE FEELZ! Oh, I knew Reno fell for Yuffie because she's similar to Niki! But I didn't realize this would happen (aside from the "welcome back" thing, I mean). Does this mean you're going to edit/re-write "What Happens in Costa del Sol" so it ties in better with O:A? It's cool if not. But still! FEELZ!

Now I'm imagining the look on Aerith's face when she sees Niki. Let the eternal jealousy begin!

This was exactly the epilogue and tie-in your fics needed, and I'm so happy to read it. Now Niki can play in the Lifestream as long as she wants, and Reno can begin to heal. And the rest of the Turks can get on with the business of assassinating, fornicating, investigating, and generally wreaking havoc on their bosses' daily lives. Dunno what comes next (for most, anyway), but it's been one helluva ride so far!

Hey, how you doing? I'll admit, I was surprised to see an alert in my email for this story, and DAMN what an ending! O_O I was definitely not expecting something like this, but that's probably because I haven't read this fic in SOOO LONG! Stupid question, but is that offer for a b-day fic-since this story was first posted on my birthday six years ago-still up for grabs? Did I even ever tell you what I would like? o.O Geez, THAT was years ago now, wasn't it...

That was a heart-rending chapter, and although Niki was not one of my favorite characters - for the same reason Yuffie has never been one of my favorite characters - this counts as one of the saddest death scenes I've read to date. I'm sad to see that I was right about Wei winding up dead, because I did like him, but at the same time, I can understand why you chose to have him take his own life. I feel a little sorry for Magni, but she did this to herself. She can only blame herself for Rufus' jealousy and Wei's death, and even for Niki's by default. My only question is whether she'll live a celibate, secluded life from here on out or if she'll drown herself in booze, sex, drugs, what-have-you until she joins him in the Lifestream. Or if she'll eventually commit suicide herself. A story for another time, I suppose. One thing I love is how your fics have now come full circle. You started this whole thing with WHiCdS, and after all these years you've arrived right back at the original story. It's a great tie-in and the perfect continuation of the timeline, especially considering that WHiCdS was written long before we linked our fics together. If you do decide to revamp it, it'll be cool to see what changes and links back to O:A.

I just hope you never delete this fic. It's too good to ever be taken down. I don't know if you're planning on writing anything else or not, but I'm glad you gave us this. In a slew of awesome fics, this one has been the best.

P.S. Any chance of a spinoff or sequel involving the Spawn? We know Axys is going to be a Turk and Az a merc, or perhaps a Turk himself so long as he doesn't have to wear the uniform. What about the others?

Oooo... The plot thickens! I knew Tseng wouldn't let his people down! After all, it's not the first time he's disobeyed his superiors for the benefit of the target. Last chapter, huh? I know you said it'll be the last, but at the same time, a part of me can't believe it. Probably because we've had this fic verse going for so long now, and with EoSH pretty much over, O:A was the only other long-running main fic in the timeline. Well, aside from WMHB, but that's an alternate timeline anyway, so it doesn't completely count. Still, there is one last thing I need to do with this entire timeline, aside from finishing "Unfinished Business." Akalara still needs to die and be reunited with Seph. I've had that fic cooking since 2007 or 2008. It's about time to get it up, methinks. All the same, seeing the update tomorrow is going to be bittersweet. I'll be hoping for one shots and stuff, but hey, that's up to you.

I think he's a bit of a sociopath, but he's smart enough to recognize when his maniacal tendencies are getting out of hand and how best to control them. I also think he does have a conscience, but he can shut it up if it doesn't suit him. I like how we're getting to see his intellect on display in this chapter, and while I'm somewhat disappointed in Wei and Magni, I'm also not all that surprised. What I can't wait to see is what Rufus' revenge is going to be, and what it'll mean for the two of them. Is Tseng going to stick up for his Turks and fellow countryman?

Oh man, Rufus being a badass intellectual. He's so sexy when he's like that. Is it any wonder why Ak was willing to serve under him, so to speak, while she was his personal bodyguard? That reminds me: if she was his bodyguard after she graduated from the Turk program prior to Meteorfall, why hasn't he ever really interacted with her? Not a big deal, it's just something I only now realized.

Well, you already know how thrilled I am to see you writing again. So I won't go into elaborate descriptions of my joy to see the Amazon Queen has returned. It's nice to see that Rufus still has a bit of the old badass in him, considering that we've gotten to see his good side throughout this timeline. I'm a little surprised to see that he has contacts outside the Turks, but then again, I suppose he would need somebody unaffiliated to keep an eye on his people. I didn't realize Magni was that anti-social, but maybe I just haven't been really paying attention to her. Here's my question: did she and Wei ever actually sleep together? I've combed through Sucal's fics a number of times, but I haven't found anything that says yes or no concretely. So what I must wonder is whether there will be evidence to suggest a physical relationship that will be misinterpreted as such, or if they really have been sneaking around behind Rufus' back. I mean, I know Magni was only into him for the sex and all, but I would have figured Wei would have more sense than to double-cross his boss. Knowing what Rufus is like in this mode, I'm certain somebody's going to wind up dead. I'm just not sure who is most likely in this triangle. All I'm hoping is that this won't end with the disbandment of the Turks. Gaia has enough mercs; it doesn't need a bunch of ex-Turks-turned-mercs taking all the good jobs. Although, I suppose I don't have to worry about the disbandment of the Turks or the death of Rufus. Future fics mention him as being alive and the Turks still in business, after all.
