Oh this was a lovely little ficlet and I'm curious about the fact the Doctor had aged visibly in his eyes as that makes me wonder just how long he had been trying to find his way back to Rose. Great ficlet and I hope you'll write more fics for Doctor Who.

I especially liked the idea that the Doctor had visibly aged. So as you said, it either took him a long time or much effort to find a way to get Rose back. After all he is a Time Lord with a Tardis. There just has to be a crack big enough to go through to the parallel universe to a reasonable point in Rose's lifetime somehere - although it might be hard to find.
