Fantastic. This fic is so wonderful, I'm so happy to have read it. You stated at the last that you'd been trending 'villains finding love and friendship', and I think it speaks volumes that, even as Oswald did find someone to love, even if it was unrequited and from afar, that even that would be tragically lost, to him. I think it's just sort of permanent to the character of the Penguin that he can't just be happy. Poor guy. But enough of my prattle. Amazing fic, wonderful job, and I certianly am adding this to favourites. :)

This is beautiful. Penguin doesn't get nearly enough attention, and this is just... oh, so lovely. I have a love-hate relationship with opera, myself.

This is too heartbreaking and sweet for words. Penguin now rivals his namesake in cuteness.

This is really sad and sweet. Penguin always did have a sort of sophisticated air to him and he likes the finer things like opera which is an interesting side to him. It's sad that he doesn't even try to get to know the soprano, that he's so used to rejection that he assumes it beforehand. He's not one of my favorite Rogues but this made me want to give him a hug. I'm surprised he didn't try to take some sort of revenge on Firefly. He could have done so subtly without anyone finding out why, but maybe he was too busy grieving to think that way. Awesome job!

Well, that, my friend, was absolutely beautiful. A wonderful explanation too. A soft spot for the character, brilliant job. You write romance without having to resort to the corny sayings and frilly words, but write it instead with the brilliance of feeling and love. Good job, keep on writing!
