...and what's with the tie? suppose it'll be somehow important to the case later... I can't wait to find out what's with the tie!

I like the story, make no mistake. I also loved the "what are you, an idiot?"

I like the funny/serious dynamic.

One thing though: the American games take place in L. A.

Not Metro City. But good job coming up with a great generic name for the place. _

Three things:

1. This is a good story, and you had better continue it.

2. Gumshoe did not create the Blue Badger.

3. Don't question the logic of the universe you are currently writing in unless you're writing a meta-humor piece. It kind of takes away from the story, y'know?

Wow, I'm really impressed with this story! It's so similar to the game, with the cross-examination and little side jokes. Poking at the game's faults was pretty clever too _ I've always wondered why the judge would dimiss Pheonix's points as soon as he hears a better one from the prosecution :P

I loved it, but it looks like you haven't updated since August. _ More, more, more! The first two chapters were great, and I think it would be an awesome twist if something like that actually happened in the game and you had to go against Misa. Lol, Phoenix's tie...

So I finished the third and final Ace Attorney game a few weeks ago. But you know, one can never get enough of that Phoenix Wright and his antics. So for the first time in literally a year, I paid a visit to this site to see if I could find any decent PW:AA fanfiction to fill the hole in my heart from knowing that one of my all time favorite series is over (at least Phoenix's part).

After scanning through a few pages, a lot of it drivel, and a little of it mildly interesting, I read the synopsis for this story. I thought "Wow... This actually sounds like it could be a really great story." So imagine my COMPLETE SHOCK when I looked over at the author's name and it was... Aaron D! My favorite ever!

I mean, I wasn't shocked that you wrote a great story. That's normal for you. But you just kind of snuck up on me there. The best fanfiction guy ever writing stories for MORE of my favorite games. The guy who wrote the epic and oh so enjoyable A Different Place is writing a Phoenix story now... Man. I feel like this is some kind of tearfully happy reunion.

Anyway, the story rocks. You do a great job of writing a case that sounds just like it could be in one of the games, and your court scenes work so well even without the interactivity of the games. Maya, Von Karma, and Gumshoe are totally perfect, and I'm really not having a problem with your characterization of Phoenix either. Can't wait to see more of Edgeworth and that silly cravat. I will totally have my eye on this.

That chapter was better than the lats, I think. ] Very nice job! Phoenix seemed a lot more in character, and everyone else was perfect. Though I thought that Von Karma would've put up more of a fight in court. If you're looking for a correction:

"Phoenix left Al Lee Cuisine at the defendant's chair and moved to his usual place on the judge's left."

To Phoenix, it would be the judge's left that he's on, but in the eyes of the judge, wouldn't be his right? I just couldn't tell whose right and left you were referring to, so yeah. xP

That was pretty awesome. Only big problem I had was that Phoenix seemed too OOC. Phoenix is usually more easy-going and such, and I really can't picture him denying Maya a burger or grabbing von Karma by the wrist.

Other than that, it was good! But I am wondering, why is von Karma is America? After the reference to Engarde, I assume it's after JFA, but after JFA, she leaves. Unless this is after PW3, which I haven't played yet, so I can't argue if it's after that.

Oh, I like it so far. ) It sounds like it could be a real case, too, which is what makes it really good. The part about Phoenix checking "every inch" of Maya's body made me giggle. Update soon!
