Sailor Victory chapter 1 . 12/3/2014
This was really beautiful. The way you worded it made me side with Light, and it's true that he was really brave to do what he did in order to create a perfect world. I honestly think that if he didn't want to become the God of the New World, Mear might have been more understanding and more people would side with him. All of you're stories are just plain amazing! Keep writing!

zanganito chapter 1 . 4/24/2013
Wow. That was amazing. I really liked your use of symbolism and you characterized Light perfectly as the idealist who still doesn't think that he did anything wrong.

I enjoyed reading this very much!
FallenHero93 chapter 1 . 7/27/2012
Very good fanfic. I mostly liked the association with the Christian symbols, which was really suitable. As for myself, I think Light was wrong, but I can't judge him. He is not genuinely bad, but in time the killing thing gets to consume him.
CherryBlossomSpring chapter 1 . 1/21/2012
well that was rather harsh... but well written and very enjoyable »well if you're against Kira, I guess«
Raj8 chapter 1 . 5/9/2011
I really love this story and how light thinks
Jess chapter 1 . 12/15/2010
This is absolutly chilling. I love how it shows a side of Light that they don't show in the anime or manga. Light becomes a victim of his own crimes and his own mind as well. He is absolutly human alone there in the dark. And to add to the creepy aura of his story, I just so happen to be be reading this, alone at home, locked in my room, in the dark... Needless to say, I had to turn the lights on...
bookfreak1317 chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
in the end, Light was the victim of it all, not the villain. he just wanted to change the world for the better and it worked! well, intill Near ruined it all. i hate near *sigh*

i love Lights perspective on it all. and the paragraphs about L and Soichiro made me cry.

this story was beautiful
gaarapanda5 chapter 1 . 5/20/2010
wow...amazing perspective from Light's point of view :)
The One Called Demetra chapter 1 . 11/1/2009
The two paragraphs with L and Soichiro made me cry. I love it when that happens.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

OrangeR0se chapter 1 . 7/24/2009
I hate Near. *sigh*.

In the end, Light wasn't a villain: he was a victim, who really just wanted to be able to help people...and destroyed himself. You captured the essence of him perfectly.
Totalitarian chapter 1 . 1/28/2009
Holy. Shit.

I'm often browsing the site for the diamonds in the rough, and am often cursing in agony at the amount of material presented without deep thought, so I had hopes when I saw this one. But...holy *shit*.

Every written sentence has meaning and links back to ideals, trials and emotions relevant to Light and his "struggle" (e.g. the jaws of Cerebus, linking to the unholy wrath of the underworld). The intoxicating confusion of a man bound in darkness, incarcerated, are expressed powerfully. Light's character and delusions are so, masterfully, done (e.g he considers L and his father feeling POSITIVE about him), and serve to question the reader when stings of reality like Near's visit strike hard. The theme of this story expands wonderfully on Light's mind and beliefs. I could go on for pages about it, but you *know* exactly what you did right. Feel good knowing that you're one cut above the rest, please.

Thanks for the bloody gripping read.
sayuri2023 chapter 1 . 12/3/2008
Though Light's intentions might have been good, the power got out of control. He got so self-dillusioned in his own world, I guess thats what brought about his ultimate downfall.

"And Light, he still doesn't believe that he was wrong."

This is the most powerful statement ever. The whole Death Note saga is based on this, because light Yagami never thought what he did was 'wrong'.

This fic is so powerful.

One more add-on to my favorites list!
Rinhail chapter 1 . 9/7/2008
Near owns Raito. I enjoyed the little inserts of Raito being visited by his victims.
the sadistic homicidal child chapter 1 . 4/19/2008
And through those six years, you were supported. Loved. Cherished. Worshipped. This story horrifies me. . . to think of my dear little Raito, corrupted by Kira and left to pay the price, being hidden in the dark. Cold and alone.

I often times had, as well, imagined Death Note as a spin off of the bible. :P Death Note was a constant battle between Kira and L, so it wasn't exactly the same. It was a battle of justice, no one of holy proportions. :P

Raito was damned for his troubles. He brought peace to locked doors and scared hearts. He reaped fear into the minds of the rotten, and payed for his sacrifice in blood. I'll never forget the day he died. Terrible, it was. . .

Your writing truly does reach out to me in the most wonderful of ways. Love~
Claude le noctambule chapter 1 . 1/26/2008
And another powerfull one-shot...

As a symbol whore with a weak spot for christian imagery, I've enjoyed greatly how Light was picturing himself as the Christ, Near's fellows a Judas's twins, and his emprisonnement as a mirror image of the crucifixion. X3

And it was fascinating to see how Light was falling into despair and madness(And the ghosts visiting him... Classical but we would still enjoy it! And L's one...I could picture the real ghost of L acting like that...but it's suited as well for a reflection of the L existing in Light's mind) but is still struggling and would always be under the end.

It makes him so...human.

The final confrontation with Near was perfect, from this point of view.

"But the goddamned cuffs, they don't break, not off of his wrists. Instead they pinched into his veins, and he winced.

(Perhaps they are the inconvenient Realism that haunts pure-hearted Idealists.)"

It was my favorite sentence...XD

But the one about Kira beeing immortal, contrary to Light...Xd

Added to...Oh, screw XD
