Outside of the formatting, the only real issue I have with the story is the fact the previous trainer made Pikachu go up against a Zapdos. I get the fact everybody can catch a Zapdos in the games, but this isn't the case in the Anime. More specifically, if someone caught a legendary, people would be talking about it. As for a previous negative experience with a trainer being the reason he acts up - not necessarily, but this is a valid interpretation, not to mention an interesting perspective.

the pre-story is okay, though it should have been longer. pikachu's thoughts and actions are pretty cute, like "i closed my eyes please not me! But it was. I was given to that kid. He started babbling about how great I was. I got mad. I electricuted him."

but the rest, other than pikachu's thought, are straight out of the book. or in this case, out of the anime.

too bad its supposed to be a pre-story and cant be continued. not like this anyways. well good luck on your other stories then.

A great story! It has been many years since I first saw the first episode of Pokemon and this story really has added allot more depth in my mind to the beginnings of the Pokemon series.
