This was quite funny actually. I loved the carefree-ness of it and how the first of August always has an atmosphere that quite distinct from the other summer days. It creates a sort of time-bubble, like on the first of August everything is possible (that's the feeling I got from it at least). I was a bit surprised that Sirius knew how to ride a bike, given his Pureblood background, but it fitted in this story. Sirius was just the right amount of cocky. There were some SPaG issues, but you should be able to catch them on a second read.

This is really very brilliant. I love the frame on it. Clever and sweet.

I especially like how the story reflects on the future while it plays out in the present.

Oh, this was nice. I only wish my August 1st was as nice. Nicely written. I really, really liked it. It has a nice, casual quality to it. I could imagine Sirius and Remus riding the bicycle. I loved it.
