Yeah, if anyone should know it would be Harry Potter. Always wondered what kind of relationship Teddy and Harry could have after the dust settled. This one shot is close to what I'd imagined. I don't understand why there's a need to have another orphan in the Harry Potter universe.

Somehow you managed to get the tone of an angsty first year exactly right. IT'S SO GOOD

The (functional, in Neville's case) war orphans come together to talk each other through their angst - this is the Harry and Neville scene I never got in the books. Plus deconstructions of heroism! Kids growing up to become who they needed when they were young! You write high-quality stuff, it's got a distinct Rowling feel to it.
