HDMrox chapter 1 . 5/20/2018 Hi, I'm not sure you can even read these messages anymore, but I just wanted to say that this story has carved a place into my heart. I was around 10 when I first read it, and now I'm reaching 20 years old - I keep coming back to this. I love your story so much. Both your treatment of Azula and of war means a lot to me. Thank you for bringing it into the world. Thank you. Roxanne |
clandestine.eggplant chapter 1 . 5/12/2018 Oh my gosh, this was majorly amazing. Thank you for writing. It was beautiful. |
gabriel288 chapter 1 . 4/24/2018 I must say, that this story was perfect, this was not the first time I read it and since the first time I read, I loved the story I really like the couple azula x sokka although it is impossible in the canon of the work. Anyway forgive my language because it is not my language, I am Brazilian , and thank you for this masterpiece. |
roughdiamond5 chapter 1 . 6/12/2017 I read this story and then didn't review it (like an idiot) maybe two weeks ago. But for two weeks this story has been itching underneath my skin, and now here I am again, rereading it and reviewing and favoriting it this time so I can *find* the damn thing again instead of searching tirelessly through my browser history after opening five new tabs of Sokka/Azula fic by searching the general archives. I just adore the idea of reincarnating Oma and Shu as Sokka and Azula, of bringing up those ancient parallels and twisting the end to match who they've grown up to be. I love how good a point you make that Sokka and Azula would have made very good earthbenders, how their personalities complement the element so well. And of course a crisp, fascinating writing style can't hurt. I know you ship Sokka/Suki (and I frankly ship him with half the cast of Avatar, so I agree with you), but you've done an unbelievably good job at convincing me that this is a ship that could work. |
Azula's Fan chapter 1 . 2/4/2014 It was good. Could have been better but it was good. |
Waywardneko chapter 1 . 1/4/2014 This... This was good. Really good. |

unostalgic chapter 1 . 7/14/2012 Wow. Holy crap you're good, that was incredible :O best Azula x Sokka fic I've ever read |
Neph Moreau chapter 1 . 4/25/2012 While re-reading this tonight, I was appalled that I hadn't reviewed this in the past, so here is your extremely belated review for this story. I first had the very good fortune to stumble upon this while assisting Dejana Talis with her search for the images for the award banners in the UFO awards the year that this story won. As one of the moderators for the site, and the only one that was familiar with ATLA, she asked for my assistance in finding appropriate images for the banners, and when I saw this pairing, I was immediately intrigued. As a Zuko/Katara shipper, I always find the idea of Sokka and Azula to be interesting, especially when the 'Suki-factor' is taken into account. What can I say? From the first line, you weave a compelling tale that drags the reader into a rich world where legend becomes real. Love that transcends time is always fascinating, especially when it pairs together such unlikely characters. And I'm a sucker for tragedy. It takes no skill at all to write happy endings. It takes courage and talent to write a beautiful tragedy. You have both. It remains, to this day, the only fanfiction that brings me to tears. I can give it no higher praise than this. I can only offer you my deepest apologies for not offering you my praise sooner, and my hopes that you liked the banner that was made for you and hope that the images I selected met with your approval. |
YuriYurin chapter 1 . 10/22/2011 Best SokkaxAzula I've read yet. Your idea of incorporating the tale of the two lovers was very ingenious. My hat's off to you. |
Sarastro the Queen o the Night chapter 1 . 7/26/2011 Holy...Crap... THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Words do not describe. It's well written, it has a feasible plot, I just can't praise it enough! *applauds* Good job! |
HisDarkMaterialsrox chapter 1 . 5/27/2011 ... I have nothing to say about this. I truly have nothing to say. This was beautiful. Everything about it - the portrayal of the characters, the plot, the underlying themes - just - gah- beautiful. You should be proud. |
