I really liked the magical school element to this story, but when I think of magical fights, the ones in this fanfic seem too staged and formal- kind of like you yak your turn and then I'll take mine. I imagine magical fights as throw whatever power I have at you in a stratigic move that I planned the entire time whole dodging the blast of magic by hitting the deck or doing some backflip.

It seemed to stiff to me, is all. They couldn't even dodge with movement. Try could only try to block it with their powers.

I love to see that even though you used a bit of the Little Mermaid's stuff in here, that you were able to really draw away from all of that and make everything very unique.

I especially love how you casually integrate the knowledge about dueling magic and sprite and such rather than other authors who are like "Oh, by the way, here's a little history lesson for you about this AU so you're not too confused" at the end or beginning of a chapter.

There were some spelling errors scattered throughout (unless that was in the other story I was reading at the same time...hmm..) and I would have written them down and pointed them out, but I was too captured by the moment to really care.

However, with that said, you MAY want to go around and do a small check for words that were uncompleted while you were typing, or words that were mixed up because of word processing. (like, you might have meant to type 'as' and your finger typed 'sf' and such. Those little things might grate on the nerves of those spelling nazis out there. They know who they are.)

Anyways, this was amazing, and greatly satisfying to read. I'll definitely be reading your other stories! (with great excitement too! I'm sure the librarian is wondering why I look like I'm going to pee myself with excitement.)

Wonderful! Absolutely perfect! I ADORED reading this story from start to finish and everything inbetween! The action was spectacular, the setup real well thought out, the ideas amazing, the romance beautiful, and just completely perfect! That's a sweet ending, although I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed you didn't include Jou's reaction to Shizuka's sacrifice. But I'm glad you smoothed over the issue with Seto's father. I wonder just how that conversation went... ((grins as her imagination runs rampent))

first of all, my hats off to anyone who finishes such a detailed and lengthy fic. It was a delight to read, thank you.

Secondly, You have no friggi'n idea how stocked I am to hear Malik and Marik finally hooked up as did Ryou and Bakura. It really wasn't about the parings, I'm pretty open. It was how much of a tight arse Malik and Ryou were being (in character I might add) about opening up and letting their love interests in.

I just wanted to bop their pretty little heads together for a bit there. LOL They were being so difficult! :P

Anyway, great fic!
