Oh, this was excellent!

Ahhh! OMFG that was A-MAZING! I loved the ending in particular. They both sent very mild hexes and Severus accidentally wins! Huzzah! I'm glad he won but I recon you could have wrote that with the characters reversed and it would still be perfect. In fact I'm wondering if you could have the women (Hermione and Luna) duel over Severus or Draco and it would still work. I bet it would. They wouldn't want to hurt each other because they are friends and the guy is a bit of an ass but suddenly their pride takes over and suddenly they are in the final round. Such an brilliant little plot!

Well, I was just going to reiterate that there should be a sequel and that this is perfectly done, but a wandering plot bunny bit be so:
Hermione keeps her scary calm and decides that Severus is a fixeruper. Thus begins her quest to train Severus, and Professor Snape's passive aggressive resistance... there may have been a few casualties to fire... It finally reaches the last straw, and Hermione's efforts are put toward other endeavours. Severus is justifiably smug.
