Going through my favorite stories and reviewing them, since I now realize that it's food to a fanfic writer. I haven't read 'little sammy', which this is a sequel to, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy this fic. It stands on it's own. I liked it.

My favorite thing about it is Bobby thinking about John. Their friendship is SO rarely touched on. The lingering anger, the regret, the too late understanding. I had to stop reading a few times as feels overwhelmed me.

Fantastic story!

Dean's story about flooding the bathroom was really good. I burst out laughing at the bam. I had to read it out twice. Thanks for posting.

Awesome! Must. read. chapter. 12! But, I hope the batman toy isn't the centre of the next chapter because (this is just my opinion) but i don't get why sam would have the toy, if he doesn't have the amnesia, BUT you know better than i do, you're the writer and I always miss out on key details so, yeah:) awesome story thankyou so much for writing this...it's so good

You know, my heart breaks a little for Sammy. He never has the same connection to people his brother has.

Dean had their mother, he was their dads' favorite, he's Cas best friend and he's also Bobby's favorite.

In your story, he's also closest to all the other men, like Mike.

And Sam, he's always on the side. He only has Dean and right now, in your story, he doesn't really.

He's thinking of backing of asking reasons to Dean to let him take all the decisions.

I just feel it's so unfair you know. I wish he could have that friendship with someone other than Dean, another fatherfigure, ...

I'm not sure you'll understand anything of my rant ...

Anyway, I'm going back to the story, I wanna know what's gonna happen next

I know, I know. I've been a naughty reader and this is my first review on either story. Let's just look at that as a cross-eyed compliment and say that I was so involved that I didn't want to stop to review ;)

That said, I've got a factual issue with *this* chapter that threw me out of the story long enough to review.

Hell's Half Acre, Wyoming (which is, indeed, where Starship Troupers filmed): If Dean or Bobby had been there, he/they'd know that the name is misleading and that it actually an area of about 300 acres. They're right, a half acre is really small. However, 300 acres is a rather big chunk of land.

Loved.

I thought it was interesting that Sam noticed this, because George made a similar observation a couple of chapters ago, I believe: "Mike and Dean even moved alike, as if Dad had raised them both." I cannot say enough how much I like Mike. I really, really would like to see another fic that has him in it.

"Sam marveled over the fact Dean did not chew Bobby out for forgetting something like that. Then he remembered that Dean was first on Bobby’s priority list. Maybe that accounted for the added leniency? Dean understood that Bobby honestly forgot?" LOL I LOVE that list! And I'd love for the boys to have a discussion where they talk about THEIR priority lists. LOL

"Dean looked, well, intense. Deep hazel-green eyes stared into the flames, daring the nasty to get back up, come after his brother again. In that moment Mike figured he had a glimpse of what Sam’s brother was really like, and was grateful to be on the man’s good side." Nice observation. I love a dangerous, protective Dean.

This made me giggle: Dean turned, one eyebrow lifted. “You know he did. You were hiding around the corner.”

Bobby did not even try to fight the grin that creased his face. “Damn, boy. Can’t cut me any slack, can you?”

I LOVE the way you write Bobby and his relationship with the boys, especially Dean.

"Sam returned his eyes to his ceiling vigil, not wanting to wake Dean. It seemed silly, to worry that just looking at a person would wake him, but this was Dean. Sam having a nightmare was enough to wake Dean. Sam being in silent pain was enough to wake Dean. Sam growling in frustration would definitely wake Dean, so he clamped his jaw shut." Aw...so true. Dean is definitely that in tune to his brother. Have I mentioned that I LOVE the way you write the boys and their relationship?

"Sam realized that he hadn’t been enough lately. He was so focused on himself, he had totally neglected what Dean had been going through." Yep, Sam does tend to do that at times. Glad he realized it and is going to get tips from Bobby.

This was an EXCELLENT story. Suspenseful, funny, great brotherly moments, Bobby and Mike, interesting supernatural elements, well-written...just wonderful. I'm favoriting it.

And earnestly pleading for a sequal. I love the way you write the boys in these canon fics, and I desperately need good fic about them to take my mind off this season's angst. Plus, Bobby and Mike! I even like Doc Wayne and Reid and George, and love Batman! LOL Please! *insert Sam's puppy eyes*
