That was an amazing story, I just wish it had been longer or that there could have been more. It vaguely reminded me of the Red Queen but with the relationship between the prince and girl on a more personal or open level.

This was so good! I've loved it from start to finish and I'll definitely be coming back to reread it at some point ;)

Your story was so beautifully written. It had me completely hooked. I wish you'd continued more stories. :)

Also, you mentioned in a note, whether the story was confusing. I could follow it very well. And while I wish there was more of Etienne, and of his interactions with Cecile, I could still buy that they loved each other. I do wish I could have seen more of why they did. I did find Alain a little confusing and I couldn't properly follow his character arc. Etienne was hardly the beast though, Alexandre was a far more horrible character. Although I don't know why Etienne said those horrible things to Cecile in the final chapter, but at least this time he apologised right away.

This story held me transfixed. It really is interesting, and I couldn't stop reading it. Thank you for posting!

My only complaint is that it felt like I got to know Etienne's competition more than Etienne. Alain and Alexandre got significantly more development. In terms of romance, it was a bit difficult to buy into her loving him when as a reader I'd only observed their dialogue about three times before she left the castle.

Just wanted to thank you for sharing this story! I especially liked your characterization of Cecile. She was independent but believably so, unlike many other authors' main characters. Her relationship with the prince and other people in a higher position than her before her marriage is very realistic for the setting you chose, and helps ground her character. I wish you had time to post more!

I just discovered this and I am absolutely in love! The French is fabulous and the story was so sweet :) I have successfully put off homework for too long because of this story... Amazing job!
