I assume that you set Ginny's birthday to be 31 October 1981 instead of her cannon birth date of 11 August 1981 on purpose. I suppose it makes it seem even more like they were meant to be.

Of course if she was born 31 October 1981, she would have been two years behind Harry in school rather than just one; she would have been 9 years old on 1 September 1991 when Harry entered Hogwarts and 10 years old on 1 September 1992 when Harry started his second year - missing the cut-off for that year by 2 months. With that said, she would not have been thinking about going to Hogwarts "next year" right after meeting Harry at the platform in August 1991.

What a sweet piece. I love the sibling love between Ron an Ginny - of course she miss him now when she is all alone at the Burrow. Ron's letter was very Ronish - especially his description of that annoying Granger girl. And Ginny's crush on Harry, as expressed in knitting, was a very sweet thing indeed. So very fitting that she was the one to make sure he would have a Weasley sweater.

AW! This story is just too cute for words! Love Ginny, love Mrs Weasley...the whole thing was absolutely adorable :-)
