Aeryn Lavanthia chapter 18 . 5/8/2018
Every few years I come back and read this story again, like many of my favourite books. It is always a pleasure to read one of your stories and this has to be one of the best. I hope you keep writing for years to come.
Miyth chapter 17 . 8/5/2015
Holy smokes, this is a really powerful fic. You're obviously a very experienced and fantastic writer.

I just finished watching DS9 for the first time, and I was sad to see that there isn't a whole lot of fan fiction on it (and barely any of it recent). I was really happy to find your works, since they are highly reviewed. If this fic is anything to go by, I know the rest of your works will be amazing.

Are you still actively writing? Your profile says you have another DS9 fic in the pipe on hold while you work on some other things. I'm curious if that's still accurate since 2012.

Thank you so much for publishing these amazing stories here :) I am very happy to read them!
jeensay chapter 1 . 9/16/2014
This story is really old - and I have read this a few years back, not remembering if I ever left a review or anything of the like... but recently, I stumbled upon your profile and remembered this great story. It's intensive. It's gruesome. When reading it the first time, there were moments when I had to have a little break, just sitting there and reflecting, thinking about what I read. It is an incredibly tough (and delicate) topic to write about, and I think you did this in a really thoughtful manner. Reading this feels meaningful. Thus, I've decided to drop this little message (even though I'm not exactly sure if you're even still active on this site) and add this to my favourite list. Because it is. One of my favourites. Even though - or maybe because of this - it certainly is no easy read.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your stories!
I love seeing Bashir tortured and injured... :
He's my favourite DS9 character and I love reading exciting stories about him, this is one of my favourite DS9 stories, if not, my favourite!
I can't believe I only discovered this story 3 weeks ago!
anyway, this is a GREAT story, I tried to read it all in one go, but it was so long and I found myself not concentrating. I finished it in 2 days, I struggled to leave it alone. I had this story in one tab, and google translate in the other :P

PS
I also love PAIN OF MEMORY. That could have been an awesome episode :D
Thank you SOOOOOO much for this awesomeness

NeysaDestine chapter 1 . 7/3/2013
This is quite honestly, one of my top 10 favorite fanfics ever. Its beautifully written, completely heartbreaking at times. I think I may have gone through an entire box of tissues. I love your Bashir.
Grumpy Old Snake chapter 18 . 3/22/2013
A single review and a favorite truly doesn't seem like enough, but just as with most full-length stories I can't narrow anything down well enough to comment properly. Still, a wonderful read.
formalist chapter 17 . 10/7/2012
Well done. That was quite a story!
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 9 . 7/16/2012
*sigh* You, my dear, are a master at building up hope and then crashing it again. Yeesh! This was a roller-coaster of a chapter. I mean, it was nice to have some hopeful moments: Julian fixing the guy's hand, meeting Henri, seeing Max again. I about did a happy Snoopy dance when they found the combadge signal. It was so...necessary after the horror we've been dragged through. Then, of course, miss creepy-beyond-all-belief had to go and ruin it I really hope Henri makes it. I do. If he doesn't, though, I hope he'll at least get some comfort in his last moments. At least, I hope they're better then what I fear Vlada's will be.
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 8 . 7/13/2012
Okay, so I took a step back; went and looked at adorable pictures of puppies and kitties; found my Zen; took a deep breath; and plunged into the abyss again.

All I have to say, is the puppies and kitties didn't help.

I meant what I said about Vlada and Max. Though, as much as it makes my stomach turn, at least...no, Vlada shouldn't have ever had to put himself through a situation like that. But it says so much of his character that he's trying to make the best of a bad situation AND help some of those around him. So, very very much.

I've been refraining from making comments about the Changeling, since I think (at this point) anything I say will be rather colorful and I already find it unfortunate she's a liquid and therefore a little harder to physically kill...Her specific assignment for Julian was...interesting in its cruelty. For now all I can do is wish the rats bother her when she's asleep at some point.

Finally, the reaction of the crew is interesting. How the hell can Kira be calm about that? Personally, I'd be freaking out. Actually, I am freaking out, so never mind. Also, I understand Dax has the advantage of experience and all...but she can't give up that easily. She can't! I mean, we are talking about a guy who managed to "wear down" Garak AND O'Brien into becoming his closest friends, survive internment under the Dominion, and do it all while still remaining his awesome generally optimisitic self. He is not the guy I'd bet against...ever (except maybe in Tongo).
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 7 . 7/11/2012
Oi.

I...I can't even...

There is really nothing to say to this. I spent my entire time reading torn between cringing and crying. I couldn't...I couldn't even smirk at Kira calling the shark a sea monster. It was that...

Please tell me you won't kill Max of Vlada. Forget Julian not being able to take it, I don't think I can. The deaths of each of the crewmembers were a punch in the gut every single time and even then there was hope the others would be alive. Seeing what could happen to them, what happened to Max's family...I'm starting to think I won't be able to finish this story if they die. You have me that invested in their characters.
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 6 . 7/11/2012
Is it bad Garak's voice at the end made me giggle a little? I could just hear him saying it in that appraising way of his. It made me snicker, and goodness know it was needed.

To be honest, that is a bloody brilliant way to bring everyone in on the non-fun. Who else but your friends can get you through what's probably going to be the worst experience of your life? It's a great way to shelter Julian's mind through this hell. The use of Miles, in particular, warmed my heart. Though, I can't say I'll feel bad for the Changeling if the Chief gets his hands on her. Nope, not at all.

Anyway, intense chapter. Except for the fact I have a passible understanding on how to read/speak German (the other languages, not so much), the fact that there's no translation available really draws you in to the tension of the story. Extremely well done!
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 5 . 7/6/2012
This chapter hurt. I mean it was brilliant; but the atmosphere of the whole thing...My heart just sank when Julian held Max as he cried and I think that might have been my most cheerful reaction. Yeah, I get the feeling the rest of this will be a story I'll only be able to take a bit at a time (no worries, though, I AM going to finish it). Honestly though, the way you bounce between the torture of the camp to the relative comfort of the Defiant just makes Julian's situation all the more horrible. It's a really effective juxtaposition! On a positive note, I'm glad they at least found some of their crew even if they can't rescue them yet.
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 4 . 7/6/2012
Pardon my French, but, Holy Fucking Hell!

That's it. Whatever coming next, I don't care. That woman needs to die. I mean, I know she's not responsible for Andrzej or what's about to a lot of those people but...She needs to go down. Not of her own free will.

Well, I guess dating a dancer has its perks? Um, at least he won't be forced to be completely silent...though, I get the bad feeling getting rid of the communicator is gonna kick him in the butt more then we can imagine. I mean, did he have to completely demolish the thing? Even a minor signal could have been useful. Whelp, on to the next chapter. I really hope Vlad'a at least gets out of this at least. I get the feeling Bashir gonna need every win he can get.
Sci F.I. Warper chapter 3 . 7/5/2012
*shivers* I don't think I can even think of a worse situation to be in. I mean, Julian knows exactly what's coming and there's absolutely nothing he can do to stop it or get away. I wonder if the changeling knew about where she was sending him (and possibly the other crew members) when she transporte them planetside? Either way, I don't like this. It's already chapter three and I'm tense and terrified to see what's to come.
