I think my favourite part of this is the moment where Kou bumps into Yaone, thereby experiencing a parallel of what he was just silently despairing not seeing enough off in his dark world. And of course the ending is wonderful, very IC. Kougaiji's sense of honour truly is his own weakness in a way, just as it can also be a strength.

Somehow, seeing the relationship from a 3rd party POV makes the intimacy between Hakkai and Gojyo that much more palpable.

I love how you protray their closeness though subtle, yet highly telling gestures and interactions. *claps*

This was so perfectly what I had hoped for - the tone, the mood, everything. I'm speechless (and you know how rarely that happens to me?) and the title and the theme...that, I confess, I hadn't thought of.
