I have to admit that was cute. Adorable.

Interesting, but the withholding information thing could have gone better.

The initial behavior of the characters was okay, even the part where Draco was talking to Zabini, but after that things went downhill.

Here are some things I'd like to point out to you. They're what I like and don't like about it.

First of all, you made it seem like everything Harry heard was news, and they probably were, but you could have fixed things up by retelling or describing when Harry got Hermione to break it off with him. I can see Draco being persuaded to, but what could Harry have said to make her break it off?

Second, you implied that the moping had been going on for months, and then reveal it was all just five days. That's not enough time to get over someone, especially if you had them break things off. It doesn't explain why Harry couldn't take the moping. "Hermione was still top of the class, but she was no longer raising her hand or talking to anyone unless spoken to" - This implies that they broke things off long enough for Hermione's grades to possibly have started slipping. However, you swiftly disabused us of the notion by stating that IT'S BEEN FIVE DAYS.

Third, since Harry had her break it off, he should expect her feeling sad, regardless of whatever grand reason he used to get her to break it off. It doesn't make sense for him to doubt so soon after his "victory."

Fourth, while it is understandable for Hermione hug Harry in thanks for approving of the relationship, it does not make sense for there to have been no negative feelings at all. You made her out to be some kind of puppet, and then subverted it by calling her a 'really good friend.' I expected a really emotionally-charged moment.

Fifth, I don't mind how Harry changed his opinion. I welcome it, even-nice to see what had caused him to change his opinion. However, I believe the timeframe wasn't realistic.

Sixth, I like how Blaise approached him. And Blaise approaching Harry in the given timeframe makes sense, too. What doesn't make sense is how by that time, Harry was already doubting his decision.

Overall? It's all right, but could be drastically improved, and I do hope you do. This won't take much time, I think, since this is a one-shot. Do not mistake this for a flame or a hate-filled rant. It isn't. I rather like the main premise. I just think the execution needs work.

Oh, this is amazing. I love stories that are from Harry's point of view, and this captured it perfectly. One thing that I'm a little confused about is that Blaise suddenly said that it was Harry's fault that Hermione and Draco broke up, it was never hinted at all, and that kind of threw me off a bit. Overall, you did a very good job with this!
