I cannot with words in a small box tell you HOW much that fight scene made me laugh. Ohhhhhh heaven, help me. Between Seifer's confusion (and then total getting it), Squall's rage, and Quistis's caffeine addiction- HELP ME. Oh, help me, it was so funny. I had to put my head down a few times and just laugh.

I'm excited to see where the rest of the story is going. I don't suppose these young millionaires could start their own mercenary band, could they? Hmmm... Not a Garden, but maybe something else. Why not? They have reputation and funding. That's more than a lot.

Damn, Ellis. That's harsh.

Ooooh, why the hard feelings bt R and S? So curious. The rest is pretty stinking interesting, too, though, that the Garden has finally given up the ghost.

Oooh, color me intrigued. BG doesn't run forever on a greased motion machine? Someone actually takes the time to investigate what it takes to keep such a huge monstrosity running? And the impact its demise has on its residence? Niiiiice.

Oh, meant to say that I liked the flow of the previous chapter. The back and forth through time bits. It worked out well, and added an extra layer to the whole good-bye Balamb ceremony...

Oh man, I do similar things like Squall (noting to myself how fashion can get people killed). Haha! No heels for me thanks!

My favourite part would be:

Squall marveled at her calm; he'd never seen Selphie this tense, this self-possessed, as if she'd junctioned Quistis for this particular encounter. He wondered how long it would take for her carefree self to come back - if it did at all.

First off: sorry for the sparse reviews - the story is so absorbing, it's hard to collect my thoughts before running off for the next chapter!

It's interesting the defensive mechanisms that everyone has. The little rituals and such.

I love the line, "Calling Laguna stupid in his head cheered him up; Squall almost smiled." and then how Quistis picked that up in a second haha! Contrasts well with Selphie's self-admitted inability to read her friend...

Hm, yeah, I was never very fond of Martine. Just used him for his deck of TT cards. Seemed like a bit of a pompous jerk.

I like the personality you've given Xu. She was always a bit of a neglected mystery in the game (at least, I didn't really pay attention to her...haha). Like the "shoot first" attitude heh.

Oh Laguna... A blank cheque? I'm betting Kiros didn't see you slip that one to Rinoa... Crazy guy, lovable and endearing, but a crazy fool :). Ah but then again, who's more foolish, him or his stubborn, pride-filled son? Hehe, love the story!
