I’ve always loved Ozai/Ursa and you’ve written them beautifully. I love the seemingly effortless characterization you’ve created in this. My favorite line has to be, “But Ozai doesn't listen, he's making the world with his hands and watches Zuko grow up.” I really love the imagery the metaphor with the hands provides. Excellent, excellent fic. |

You make Ozai a human in the way most fics avoid and the show doesn't even pretend to bother with. I like how you removed the quotes- it helps with the style of a memory fic- and I like this line especially: Thoughts of Ursa are pushed back to the back of his closet and into the seams of his clothes. |
