Nicely done - I like how this made Nanao seem very real... her internal battle with insecurities and even anger felt quite true to her. Very touching, indeed :)

*shivers* Not as..romantic as I first thought. How you conveyed this story was very...real.

(IMO, that flashback was kind of a drag. Not that it wasn't written superbly, but all flashbacks make people - or maybe just me - bored, I guess .

Then the scar has to scab back over again...

It makes sense that Nanao is hiding things like that. I'm personally terrified of getting into a situation while under the influence. That's why I've only drunk in the company of trusted people, and that happens few and far between.

That and I can't hold my own alcohol... heh.
