This is an incredibly, beautiful written story. It's one of the most perfect captures of the essence of character that I've ever seen. You expanded on the potential, subtle undertones of their relationship so well. This was really a joy to read.

This is honestly my favourite FFXII fic, and probably one of my favourite fics of all time. First person can be incredibly hard to do but you've given Balthier a voice that is so convincing I often lose myself in the narrative. Wonderful turns of phrase and characterization. I am above all impressed with the way you've expanded upon the dramatic aspect of his character - the perception that he is an actor playing at many different roles, none of them quite what he wants to be. All the insecurities peeking out behind those grand gestures adds startling depth to a character I wasn't particularly interested in until I read this story. The snippets of his youth, particularly with his father, and the bittersweet sentiments towards his relationship with Fran are the highlights of this brilliant story. I look forward to more updates from you.

Wow, I really like this story, I could honestly see this as their relationship, though it's a darker take on it than many authors care to use for Balthier/Fran... it's very good. I hope you update, and nice voice for Balthier

An excellent darker view of Balthier and the life he leads. I think you've done an excellent job portraying an underlying desperation and insecurity that ties in with all the truly dramatic people of the world. I also very much like what I considered to be a vague bitterness of Balthier's part that Fran will live on after him and be able to continue.

Wow. Just wow. Truly an amazing story. I love Fran and Balthier pairings and this one is so intense, and stunning. I love it. The way Balthier assumes Fran thinks of him...He makes himself out to be a tissue of some sort, doesn't he? I don't like how Fran just seems like an unintentionally heartless little thing though. I think im just sad that it's believable lol

I don't know why but I feel like some parts of this story, especially some of the dialogue that wasn't in the game's cutscenes, I have read in a different story before... maybe it's just me _;
