I really lived this story it was great! It was really cute and a great idea! i loved Race and i loved seeing/reading a story about him becoming a newsie and how he got his name! i hope you write more even though this was written a while ago. Im really wondering what happened to Races brother

Very nicely done. I like how you had someone teach Race the "tricks of the trade." You don't often see him as a little boy either, or his 1st time at the tracks. Great piece!

i like everyhting but the end because i think its kinda corny the end. but the rest is really great!

Pretty good, but I'm not so sure about the whole mysterious starnger teaching Race about poker so that he can fulfill his destiny as a gambler.

This was a really good fic! Kinda short, but the concept of Race becoming a newsie was good.
