See...now THAT'S the ending that would have made me HAPPY! We all knew that Luke and Lorelai would straighten everything out, by the end of the finale, they were already half there. We didn't need any weddings. Did we want them? Yes. Did we need them? No. We just needed to know that there WOULD BE weddings - TWO weddings. There had to be a wedding for Luke and Lorelai, and there had to be a wedding for Jess and Rory! Anything less was unacceptable. THIS ending would have been PHENOMENAL!

I'm not sure everyone in town would have applauded, though. I think most of them would have been very confused, and at least Taylor would have been trying to incite a riot.

STILL. This is the way it should have happened. *sigh*
