This was great, very original! The quirky supernatural thing to the story (which I won't spoil here) was an excellent device here because it drove the characterisation and really made sense for her state of mind. Your alternative explanation for why they wouldn't get back together, even if Sam never showed, was spot on. I guess the Season 8 writers were right on one thing (and one thing only) that Jackie and Hyde's relationship had gotten pretty messed up and they needed time apart. Unfortunately they made it permanent by introducing a pointless character to kill the relationship. Your story would have made a far superior ending for these two! :)

This was so good. I especially like the no Sam part of it. :-) I really enjoyed Jackie in this story. She was so vulnerable, yet strong. I think you do very well with writing both she and Hyde. I wish the writers would have put more effort into keeping true to the characters in the 8th season rather than putting out the crap that they did. Being able to come here and read some of the stories that are posted is really helping me deal with the bitterness over the whole thing. So thank you. You really do a great job and tell a great story.

Very nice story, sooki. I think my favourite part was when Jackie ID'd her mother in the morgue. Cold, quick and reaking of issues to be resolved later on. Having Pam's ghost pop up every now and then was very clever. It reminded me of when Laverne died on Scrubs and she started haunting Carla like this. Then Jackie's eulogy reminded me of a scene from Dawson's Creek. So many memories evoked in this. And I love Fallen. Brilliant song which I know so well, I didn't even have to YouTube it for this chapter.

loved it! I really like Hyde's attitude through all this it's like he finally realized what a dick he was and without being even more afraid and jerky about it he fixes what he messed up! That's great!
