Dalara chapter 1 . 6/27/2010 Good writing, terse and keeping a reader on the edge. But there's something to spoil it all. If Aya's bleeding while Yoji is trying to get them away from guards, then Yoji is a total fool - all his running and tricks do nothing because guards easily track them down following blood trail. And several minutes into all this (way before they get to executive floor) Aya's dead because of blood loss. Yoji should (and must) have paused somewhere to bandage the wound to stop blood. Please, make it believable! |
Lleayn chapter 4 . 1/12/2009 Babe, you have an amazing gift. Never have I cried or felt such heart-wrenching emotion when reading something that didn't have some kind of hormonal reasoning behind it. I mean, I could only wish for the talent it takes to portray such heavy emotions in such a beautiful way. When Aya died, it felt so real and believable that it was almost like it was happening right there in front of you. And thank God for the comic relief at the end when you find out it's all a dream. You had all of us going there for a while! However it is you keep pulling out these tear-jerking fics, don't ever stop. It really is amazing. If I had a medal, I'd so give it to you. Thanks for letting all of us enjoy that great ride of a story! Much love, ~Lleyan~ |
Rosalyn Angel chapter 4 . 10/25/2007 D'AW, YAY, CUTE. You made everything all right. :D I loveloveLOVED the awkward conversation while they were hugging. This: (“Are you sleepwalking?” Aya asked. Yohji wondered about the odd question, but he replied, “No.” “Feverish?” Aya asked. “No,” Yohji said. “Then, you must have a death wish,” Aya continued in a dead-pan tone of voice.) and this: (“You can let go any time,” he said.) were my favorite parts of that conversation. :D Love your fic. Thanks for sharing! Happy pencils~ |
Rosalyn Angel chapter 3 . 10/25/2007 OH. thank god. just a dream. you really had me going. D: |
Rosalyn Angel chapter 2 . 10/25/2007 I can't explain to you how much that made me cry. I'd stop to calm myself so I could keep reading, pet my cat a little and then go back to it, only to start crying again. Rip my heart out and tac it to the wall, won't you? Talking about what they'd do differently, and then Yohji's screaming and kicking at the walls... oh god. I hope things work out somehow... |
Spawn of Hell chapter 4 . 10/9/2007 ok... this is the last one for tonight(i have to reread the stories to actually remember well what im talking about), i think theres four more after that one... im dead tired, waking up at 6 on the morrow, still got homework to do and its 10pm... but enough whining... the death of aya is very well rendered, you went into details as to how it wound sound and feel like to die and to see someone die, but it remained added well to the drama and strong emotions flying around. the conversation with omi was pretty intense. one of the most beautiful character death ive ever read, very touching. so touching that i actually felt relief when i read that he wasnt really dead- of course, i dreaded at first that yohji was coping very badly with ayas death. and the kitchen scene put everything in perspective and really showed the strong bond between the two. aya, who was so tired he just wanted to be alone and rest, decided to let yohji stay with him out of friendship and care. really beautiful one-shot this one. well-done and fully-appreciated(by me at least). Good bye for now! |
Katherine4 chapter 4 . 6/6/2007 OHMIGOD, the ending was so sweet. Totally made up for my copious weeping and tears at the beginning. You are really torturing the poor boys! But in a really good way :) *adores* |
MikaSamu chapter 4 . 6/3/2007 How I love this story; that plus an uncooperative computer led to the delay in getting this review posted. The first chapters, coupled with the title and author's note had me so very worried. Beautifully written nightmare - not being able to stop to provide desparately needed first aid because you're being hunted has got to be a nightmare that haunts each of Weiss, but especially poignant with these two. Aya's telling Omi it was fine, and signing off were enough to bring tears to my eyes. It was a great kindness to your readers for you to post chapter three with chapter two, and to draw our attention to that next chapter. Still, like Yohji, the nightmare was sufficiently intense that I too couldn't relax until the fourth chapter. That wonderful deadpan humor of Aya's was perfect; cadence and phrasing will delight me for considerable time to come. Offering much needed kindness, even when so drained, is so endearing and true to Aya's character. The warmth of the characters and humor made a perfect ending, with the chill that comes from knowing that what was only a nightmare this time is an all too likely occupational hazard. Thank you for the story! |
Padewan CarrCarr chapter 4 . 5/31/2007 No idea how many times I say this to you but you, Tex-chan have a gift. Never have I read anything so powerful and heart wrenching enough to bring me to tears, that even after the… positive ending I’m still getting teary eyed. Yet contrary to the truckload of angst this story holds it is most definitely a beautiful read. I have no idea whether to love it or hate it for the scare you provoked, but I know one thing and that is I will be reading it again; as well as sharing it with my Yohji loving friend if I have to tie her down and pry her eyes open to do so. The two chapters of build up to Aya’s… leaving had a compounding effect that sent my heart racing. During all the descriptions of Yohji’s fear and Aya’s pain I was truthfully sitting on the fence as to whether or not you really would get rid of the lovable redhead once and for all, or bring him back for more enjoyment before locking him back in your closet. In a sense it would appear that you in fact did do both things and, considering it could have been worse, thank goodness for that. At the beginning of chapter three I was desperate with worry concerning Yohji being a) in a hospital after with no Aya, b) at home after with no Aya, or c) all just a really sick twisted dream that will hopefully not come true. It was a cold bucket of relief to learn that c would prevail. Omi, Omi, Omi. His innocence was ripped from him, true, and he does take the brunt of Weiss on his shoulders, yes, but still he should have been nicer to Yohji, darn it! One doesn’t wake for a soul shattering experience about death, a very important persons death and be all flirtatious and agreeable. I guess it just goes to show that as much as Omi and Ken don’t understand Aya they aren’t as intoned to Yohji either. After that roller coaster of a dream mission the sight of Aya in the kitchen made me want to squeeze him, maybe not as much as Yohji, but pretty near close to it. Aya’s calm, typical attitude just made things sink into home that all was well, for the most part, until Yohji comes to grips with the nightmare. Although you ended the story I can still see Yohji sharing his plight with Aya within all due time and hopefully that will increase the positive. The shining moment, *cues music* Yohji hugging Aya, and most especially Aya allowing him to do so. Their friendship is always so dear to me, a lot due to your stories, but when you give us moments like that it makes everything worthwhile. Not to mention I solely congratulate Yohji on getting into Aya’s bed. One can only wonder what Omi and Ken’s reactions will be in the morning. As well, now that I think about it, how they will sleep through Ken’s alarm clock. Ah, and that friendly banter. Nothing ends a story, (a Tex-chan story); better then when the Weiss kitties threaten to injure one another just because. Your talent and imagination continue to shine through time and again. I guess after this review of Endgame love is where it will be cataloged under. *starts up printer* Now I shall make a hard copy for those days with no electricity, heaven forbid, and my Yohji fan friend. I feel the need to pull out a thesaurus for words to describe your story but the best one on my mind is impacting. If you can manage such a feat in a fanfiction I can’t even imagine what your original pieces are sculpted into. Thank you for the wonderful tear jerking read. Can’t wait for more. - Carrie *blows nose into tissue* |
memorietrail chapter 3 . 5/31/2007 oh i do hope there is more |
luckywallet chapter 4 . 5/31/2007 And yet another great addition to the Weiss fandom-not that I'd expect anything less from you! As always, an emotional triumph. Reading chapter 2 felt like being sucked very slowly down a sink drain. I was...more than a little relieved to read the end! Some years back, my best friend had a similar fever-dream about me. She never would tell me all the details, but it was several weeks before she felt comfortable enough to leave my side for more than a few hours. I remember that the experience-for both of us-felt very much like the last two chapters of Endgame. Bravo! |
Mockorange7 chapter 4 . 5/28/2007 Aw. So cute, but is it over? I really enjoyed this fic, and I'm sad its over! Although it was a real treat tonight, after a long and frustrating day. Thanks very much for sharing it with us. :-) |
Isi chapter 4 . 5/28/2007 Yohji has to push it doesn't he? I love Aya's line "“I keep a sword in my room. Don’t forget that.” Heh! Thanks for updating the lasst chapter so quickly, I'm enjoying the read. |
