Oh man. This is a really, really good depiction of Franziska's fear of intimacy. It seems so right for her character. I mean, people in fandom normally assume that characters in these things are like, bedroom wizards or something, don't they? But this sort of fic is a really good way to show a character's proper insecurities. And Adrian's patience is marvelous for the situation as well. Also, great name for the fic.

That was a whole new side of Franziska von Karma that I hadn't ever thought of before. I'm no good at reviews, but this was a great story. I'm not even an active supporter of Adrian/Franziska and I still thought it was sweet, almost touching. Magnificent job.

Very well written and I really enjoyed the way you explore the idea of having awkward moments in making love between two people who really care about each other. It's an interesting insight for Franziska's part to be so unsure of herself, and her strife to be perfect for Adrian. I found the idea to be very endearing. Adrian, I really like her character in this story despite having an almost saint-like quality. The end was a bit...anti-climatic to say, was expecting to see more :p

Now I'm more curious to see what's the real story that inspired ppl to write Adrian/Franziska (heard of the game but haven't actually played it). Thanks for posting this. Keep up the good work!

Holy god do I love this pairing. The two of them really are the most interesting couple in PW, I think. I agree, the clash between their dominance in different areas is a really neat dynamic, and I think you pulled it off perfectly. Characterization was spot-on, and I can definitely see poor Franziska so tightly wound over this sort of thing. I love your writing and I'm on the lookout for any more. :3

I loved this short story, the romance, the erotic atmosphere... I must say you've converted me with your stories. I no longer hate Franziska von Karma, in fact now when I think of that whip-wielding character, all I think about is a beautiful relationship between two very attractive women.

I'm glad it ended where it did, I wasn't sure how you were going to 'pull it off'. It was very well-calculated. Thanks for livening up my night a bit with this fiction :)

I love this. You really capture what it is to be totally insecure; the first time is never easy, especially when you're as tightly wound as Franziska von Karma. The mood and setting are lovely, your portrayal of Franziska is totally spot on and her feelings for Adrian are palpable. I adore this pairing, but even as I was rooting for them whilst playing the game I really despaired of ever finding anyone else who felt the same way. I love being wrong sometimes.

Anyway, brilliant. I hope you aren't quite finished with this series yet, because I'm certainly not finished reading! You rock.

Total review: 7.5/10. It was nicely put together, MUCH better start, but it seemed MUCH shorter than your previous ones (probably because it WAS), and also, it seems to, once again, leave room for more (yes, I know it's before One of These Things is not like the Other, but it missed a few consistencies, such as Franziska reminiscing of case 4, game 2.) Overall, very well done!
