Your Remus's fighting style is totally convincing, as are your Sirius's and Lily's. I love how you shape them to the personalities of the characters. Remus's distractions are real and hilarious, especially the post-duel activity ideas and the Augamenti jinx.

I think this was my favorite part of the fight:

"Fight me!"

"I'd rather not."

"Then what the bloody hell are you doing up here?" she gritted.

"Something I hadn't planned on," he admitted. And, without meaning to, his eyes dropped hungrily to her lips for a moment. Eyes, he thought, not lips! When his gaze darted up again, merely a second later, Lily's head tilted, her expression alert and full of interest. Oh, fuck, he thought.

The event and the actions and personalities of the characters were simply beautiful. Thank you for posting such a well-written piece on one of my favorite pairings.

I can't imagine why this isn't better reviewed. I mean, I guess in a post-DH world it just reverts to "Everybody loves Lily" syndrome, but still... I guess, if you believe the books, most everybody but Voldemort *did* love Lily. Plus, she is such an engaging duelist.

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! Oh, my gosh, I absolutely ADORED this! You are such an amazing writer and had my rapt attention throughout the whole fic. You did Remus so well and I loved your portrayal of each character, everyone was so well done. I especially liked how you wrote Peter, because in all reality, he was not just some stupid little kid who got lucky enough to hang aroung the Marauders.

Seriously, this was AH-amzing! There are no words to describe my love for this.

Oh wow! Absolutely delicious! I loved the entire situational set-up and the way you mentioned little details like the look out for Filch and the agreed upon structure of the fights, along with the safety precautions. It really made your story even more legitimate and allowed the characters to really flex their wings. Lovedd the contrast between Remus and Sirius' styles, and the way I could seriously feel the tension between Remus and Lily!

“Maybe I should fight Evans after all,” James went on. “Looks like she’s pretty good.”

“She’d demolish you,” said Remus, unable to keep the smugness out of his voice.

Haha! But. Really. Guh. I have recently fallen in love with the Lily/Remus pairing (recently being, like, today) but the LR stories here have been proving really very bleak . . . but this. This is. Guh. Absolutely wonderful. Great story!

This was hilarious! Completely unexpected in the fic yet entirely expected from Sirius.

Lily is a fully formed figure in your fics. I have read and re-read the scraps of Lily in the canon. I am looking for Harry within the bit of her we are given. In your fic, I found a bit of him reflected in this urgent request to Remus:

'"Fight!” she whispered harshly, her eyes sending hooks straight into his heart.'

Harry always met his opponent with determination. I suspect he did so as he suposed they proceeded against him with the same genuineness he brought to the battle. Harry disliked fighting, but he may have disliked a dishonest fight even more. Lily demonstates Harry's characterisitic sincerity at this point in your fic.

Please continue writing all these characters. (well, by *all* I mean Sirius.) Thanks for sharing your talent!
