After re-reading this story again, I am reminded of another fairytale called "The Nightingale." A bird who also sings for a royal individual.

Before reading your story long ago, I had never before heard of the story of "The Juniper Tale." Thank you for opening my eyes.

It may be because I read it first, but your version is my perfered out of the two :p. I think this is also the best Chack story I've ever read.
