Great Story!

You had a little bit of everything woven throughout this story and it was, as always... exceptionally written. :)

I loved how we had to wait until the end of the story to finally hear what Dean wanted to ask Sam... to tell you the truth, after all the action packed adventure in the woods and hospital, I'd forgotten about the question. :)

Sam's answer to Dean's question was PERFECT. Just what I wanted Dean to hear. :):):):):)

And I actually laughed out loud when Dean insisted to Sam that he wasn't "perfect" Sam's reply to that was very amusing to me. :D:D:D!

I have to say, I just spent the better part of the last week or so reading just about every Supernatural story you've written, and you never disappoint (I know, it's sad that this is the first comment I've left-I'll try to do better about that ;) ). I love the emotion you infuse into all of your stories, and the way you portray the brotherly bond between Sam and Dean. Like the banter too. :)

I thought this story was really touching. I got all teary when Sam was talking about how he prays for Dean and why. Because he's SO right about Dean, and it's so sweet that he sees it and prays for him because he knows Dean won't pray for himself.

And I love the way Sam knows his brother so well: "Right, no big deal. In other words your leg is probably hanging off right now."

Love how you mix genuine emotion, humor, and suspense in your stories. Now, you just have to write a bunch more, since I've gone through what you have up. ;)

Aw! Good one. Simple statements from Sam and not mushy...just straightforward.

i like dean's views. makes so much sense to have faith in yourself, and a person you love and is real and there for you, than a 'god'. but ya can't blame sam for what he said. if there's the slightest chance, and in desperate situations it must make him feel better to think his brother's being looked out for. as long as they have each other.

That was a lovely story! It had everyting you could ask for: drama, humour, emotion, pain and love.

“I'm at the woods. Is there anything you can see at all?” he said, hoping for even the smallest clue that he was heading in the right direction. Dean seemed to think about it for a second. “Yeah, there is.” he said finally and Sam felt hope leap inside him. “What?” he said excitedly. There was a beat. “Trees.” said Dean finally. LOL!

I loved the talk between Sam and Dean about what Sam prayed for. You handled that so well, it brought tears to my eyes.

Oh, wow, I love this. The ending was just so lovely I could melt. You portray the boys so well- from the bantering to the chick flick moments- it's all so in character. Dean's reluctance to show his emotions is spot on, Sam's stubbornness about finding out makes me grin like a loon. This fic just makes me smile- it gives off a strange sense of hope. I've never been very religious, and I probably never will be, but I do think everyone needs to have faith in *something*, not necessarily a higher power. And Dean and Sam believing in each other... that's just so incredibly perfect. I think I'm in love with your fic.

Sounds like Dean to investigate without waiting for Sam. But could just picture Sam's face as he tried to find his brother and knowing that Dean was not telling the whole truth about his injury.

I love how Dean can use the nickname Sammy when talking to his brother, just another way of saying 'I love you.'

Nice rescue by Sam. Had to smile at Dean's thoughts, 'The fact he wasn't sure if he could walk on his own was not the point. He was doing this for Sam's sake.'

Love Sam's determination to find out what was worrying his brother. I liked his answer on why he prays. '...I pray for you.' 'You never asked anything for yourself and you put up with all the crap from me and Dad.'

Wonderful ending as Dean thought about Sam's words. 'For all that was his job to protect Sam, he knew that Sam considered it his job to return the favour...Perhaps it was about them standing side by side and facing it together. As a team.'

Enjoyed your story. You did another excellent job of capturing the brothers.

I loved this one, sweetie. :) Terrific tag. Made me cry. Though I think it just helped push me over the edge since I was already feeling really emotional today. Anyways, I love the boys always being there for each other. So sweet.
