As I read the Narn i Chîn Húrin this was exactly the side of Túrin I wished to see and you brought them both out perfectly. 'Such dark thoughts did not belong here, here in the light that was Níniel' - utterly beautiful line that brought home how much Túrin desired lasting happiness. Though from simply knowing the tale this story has the implication of doom, I still find it heartwarming and truthfully how a light hour in their lives would have been. I've reread it several times already, so I can't say it any plainer: I wish this had been a chapter in the Narn. Thank you, thank you for giving the kindness of Túrin voice.

Aww, that story's so sweet! I know nothing about either of the characters, but it's still a very sweet story. You right very well, too. You should write more :D

This is so lovely. :) Well captured moment of hapiness.

This is a lovely little fic - and it's nice to see that somebody else writes about Turin and his family! (I was feeling rather lonely up until now). There are some beautiful descriptions in this fic, especially when Turin finally believes that he can shake off his terrible curse. I particularly liked this sentence:

"Such dark thoughts did not belong here, here in the light that was Niniel."

[Just one case of nit-picking - you mention that Turin is 26 at this point, but Unfinished Tales has him at around 33 at this point in time.]
