Azina Zelle chapter 3 . 5/20/2007 Okay, since my last review was really "fluff" I'll give a real review. For one thing, I like your style and it's well written. You might throw rotten tomatoes and Norman-stampeded cabbages at me, but I believe Gisburne wouldn't "force" a woman. We see in "Witch of Elsdon" and "Children of Israel" he wanted the women to willingly (and hopefully enthusiastically) to love him in return ... Sadly, poor Gizzy was spurned on both accounts. He was even willing to marry Sara, who could gain him no advanced social standing or lands, but simply because he *loved* her. Okay, he didn't know quite how to court her properly, but that's pretty romantic especially given that time period. Seriously, Jennet and Sara could easily be "taken" by a Norman soldier with no recourse or justice for them. But it's telling on Gisburne's character he didn't "force" the issue even when they said No. And I really believe Gisburne is a good-hearted person, but has been beaten and bruised so many times by his past (his father and the sheriff) he's learned to hide his better nature (and heart) under a bushel basket. But if you want evidence he still has a heart, just watch "Alan a Dale" and see the looks he's giving Lady Mildred. He cares about what's happening to her and the hurt she's going through. Okay, will get off the soap box. But I just want to say, you're a good writer and please don't let this discourage you. |
Azina Zelle chapter 1 . 5/18/2007 Poor Gisburne ... I'd happily marry Guy and m ... the wedding night. ;) Maybe he needs some consoling after being beaten up so badly. Stupid Marion, she doesn't know what she's missing. |
MontyPythonFan chapter 2 . 5/17/2007 Woop! What if its Gisbourne? lol. Jess x |
LDSDrumlinegurl chapter 1 . 5/16/2007 This is really good. But for my advice. i would make a sequal of like their marriage. and Gisbourne trying again. But make it longer. People kill me whne they only write 1 chapter. Please make a sequeal thats longer! |
harmony chapter 1 . 5/15/2007 That was very well written and very sweet in the end. |
