well the writing itself was fine.. but this works much better as a good opening to an actual zoro/sanji fic than it does as a stand alone thing. there's no way you could convince someone that wasn't real. i do think they were in character.. the only thing that wasn't was sanji just believing they were dead bc he heard a 2 second convo lol. that made no sense. he never would've just accepted they were killed so easily by some random marines & when they came he would've realized he wasn't in a dream basically right away. of course it sucks for that to happen to him but he's definitely physically & mentally strong enough to survive for 2 weeks. much weaker ppl survive for years. it's not like he was being tortured on top of it that time. he might be traumatized & very emotional.. that's not out of character that would be normal.. but i don't think he would ever almost try to kill himself.
also this really should be labeled straw hat crew or specify zoro/sanji nakamaship since there's really no pairing in this story. if zoro had forced himself on sanji bc he wanted him that would be different but he had no feelings like that & nothing to do with the decision here. it's just friendship so it should say so. esp since most searching zo/san rated M are looking for them to be together so it's just disappointing lol.
now i really wish you would write a sequel that follows zoro/sanji as they realize their feelings while dealing with the aftermath of all this. the best fics are when something like this happens & it ultimately brings them together. it's a great set up really :D

I feel a bit cheated ...how much better this story could have been without the edited pieces. That is not saying this isn't good, but it could have been better. Most of all ...I feel that the ending ...really wasn't an ending, but I can't complain, because this is good.

Though I feel kind of like ...this story didn't quite reach it's conclusion. Maybe a sequel somewhere?

The ending's so bittersweet! That was a great conclusion to this story. I liked this story; nice job.

hmmmm well i won't lie that i wasn't exceptionally fond of the captain/Sanji bit(*rolls eyes* seriously can't anyone figure out a better way to toast the dude, it's getting a bit cliche ya know) but other than that loved it hee hee
