A very clever story, filled with romance. I adore this one, few writers can pull off this sort of scene without being too modest or over the top. I give you much praise.

Elphaba is perfectly in character, although the way an actress portrays her affects a viewers perception of her. Although you based it off of Kerry Ellis, I can see her as the Elphaba I saw, Nicole Parker. You leave it to the reader's imagination, adding to my love of this story.

This is one of the best stories that I have ever read. I reread it over and over again. You are truly a gifted writer and should be very proud of yourself.

I thought it was very good and well written.

"One of the things that always confused me a little is why did Fiyero go with Elphaba? They had spent almost no time together apart from the Lion Cub and the train station. That’s hardly enough to base a decision like that on"

Well the thing that is implied that they were in each other's classes for quite sometime and saw each other a lot. That's why Galinda at the train station is like "I don't know him either. He's distant, and moodified, and he's been thinking, which really wories me. I never knew how much he cared about that old goat."

So it's implied that it's been quite some time between that day with the Lion cub and that they have all been seeing each other since. Fiyero also says to Elphaba:

Fiyero: Uh, listen, I've been thinking...

Elphaba: Yes, I've heard.

Fiyero: About that Lion cub and... everything. I think about that day a lot.

Elphaba: Really? So do I.

So it is implied that it has been some time between the Lion Cub moment.

And Norberts (Original Fiyero) words on who Fiyero is are:

But the writers did something really smart before we opened in New York: They gave Fiyero the slightest trace of a conscience, a longing that something more was to be gotten out of life (Other then dancing through it). And in the Lion cub scene he says "I happen to be genuinely self absorbed and deeply shallow," to joke his way out of a confrontation with Elphaba. She replies, "No. you're not. Or you wouldn't be so unhappy." It's a great moment because the audience gets to see his mask fall to the floor, and in that moment the falls hopelessly in love with the green girl.

David Ayers says when he played Fiyero he portrays the character this way:

I think the audience identifies with Fiyero in that he has this cathartic breakthrough. It starts in the lion cub scene when Fiyero and Elphaba steal the cage together, that's the catalyst. The turning point is when Elphaba tells him he only pretends that he's shallow and self absorbed- otherwise he wouldn't be so unhappy. That deeply affects him. And that was the note I always got in rehearsals from Joe. There has to be a moment when he's rattled and unsure of himself. Because, come on, Fiyero is a Winkie prince and no one has ever spoken to him like that. There are all sorts of layers in that scene; he's never been alone in the woods with someone like this. And Elphaba is yelling and ordering him around like, "don't shake the cage, Don't do this, what are you doing?" they're practically having a lover's spat. And that's the way love can start.

So either way; Elphie and Fiyero had some reason for running off Together lol. They had a lot of time to do some... Thinking.
