Ok, that was just...*sniff* wonderful. I may have...uh...choked up a bit there when Sam read Daniel's note. Vested much in these characters? Nope, not at all. *blows nose* Seriously, you did an incredible job of capturing the friendship between Daniel & Sam & Teal'c and their relationships with Jack. Of course I'm a J/S shipper but I adore the friendship of Sam & Daniel and we didn't get near enough of it in the last couple of seasons, so thank you for this! Oh and to have been a fly on the wall in the mess hall! :)

What a beautiful fic! I almost cried when I read Daniel's note, and again at the end when the three sent their b'day thoughts through the stars to Jack. I thought it was great the way the fic was virtually in two sections ... the first section where you brilliantly conveyed the monotony and the neverending nature of their time onboard through the repetitive use of 'time' words, like "every day", "always" and "never". Then, in the second section, Jack's b'day, it was all new, with no more repetition. And there truly is nothing like being surrounded by good friends. Wonderful fic! :o)
