I don’t know if you researched all this yourself or if you already knew about Japan’s history/customs in advance, but I APPLAUD you for using it in your story. It sings the tune of the original series, pulling from Japan’s own cultures to help forward a mystery.

And also I LOVED seeing conan’s Freak out to Kaito. ‘Vermouth? Is it Vermouth? Is that who you are?’

Okay, it was hard to follow, but I’m thinking Haibara was able to clone skin from the blood sample that was taken from Kaito and use that to make everyone think Conan, Kaito and the bad guy all died in a horrible fire. Saguru knows, Heiji does not. I have no idea what Vermouth and Yukiko were running around doing.

All in all, it was a fun read, until the end where things just got super hard to follow, but if I got it right, not inconceivable. Thank you very much for sharing. I now want more stories of these boys as twins. I am new to the fandom, so maybe they’re out there!

Though the premise was interesting I seem to have lost the truth of everyone's actions in the middle of all the twists and turns and the smokescreens. I am also unsure as to how this chapter can truly bring this story to a close.

Ill be honest and say I don’t exactly know what happened in that last chapter but holy crap do I love this entire story. Everything was so tense and in character and the trust between Hakuba, the officers, and KID himself was amazing. Just “rescue attempt not kidnapping” “of course. Makes perfect sense. This internationally wanted criminal would never do this” Gosh I love this

Amazing fic I'd say! Totally curious if Conan will someday acknowledge that Kaito is his little twin brother or if Kaito will ever be KID again since they can't live as themselves anymore and Akako said it was his price for their safety.

On a bright side, at least Conan's blessing (curse) is gone making him a little normal now (doubt that he believes in Akako's magic anyway)
