Based on which jutsu the ninja uses, the type and amount of chakra will be different as would the elements you would be to employ. The five main elemental styles are also the five names for the Five Great Shinobi Countries: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth and Water. Each ninja has the potential to "better" utilize one of these styles and potentially more. A special elemental detecting paper is used to determine ones type. The paper comes from trees which are specially grown with chakra. When the ninja imbues the paper with a portion of their chakra, the paper will alter to reveal one's type. The paper will rip in two for Wind, burn for Fire, become wet for Water, fall apart for Earth and crumple for Lightning. For example Kakashi is a predisposed Lightning type, while Sasuke is both Lightning and Fire for the Uchiha clan specialty.

This means that while a ninja may only have one or more chakra affinity it in no way stops them from using elemental jutsus that they have none for but they will be weaker than those who possess the

chakra affinity for them. But great story by the way and continue to awe me with it's adventures.

its good 2 see that u updated again. The story seems 2 be coming along very good so far.

However u hav the entire idea of elemental affinites wrong. Affinities show which element your chakra is more attuned to. Meaning if u had a fire affinity then its easier for u to use fire jutsu and they r stronger than normal but harder to use water b/c its the opposite afinity. Shinobi can learn any elemental jutsu they want as long as they hav the right amount of chakra and control to do a jutsu. also if a shinobi masters his affinity he can control that element w/o the use of hand seals at all and bend it to his will
