I won’t lie... Monarch makes me think Venture Brothers. Still, he needed –some- sort of name, and the big bad guy is shaping up nicely after the team defeated his number two henchman in the first arc. My money is on it being this Professor Julius fellow.

But this series had me sold the minute we had the odd girl who dreams she is a dragon, as if I need to guess who it is. Beautifully symbolic, and a welcome return to Kisara, AKA Sara Drake. Nice choice of name, to say nothing of backstory. Easily the highlight of this story.

I really like how they actually have a proactive game plan this time around, as opposed to their usual sit back and wait sort of strategy. Putting Rebecca, Serenity, and Duke on the offensive to hunt for Ramses was brilliant done, if largely ineffective.

Ah, a Thiefshipper. I can get behind that one. Very realistically portrayed.

You have an interesting manner of mixing Egyptian mythology (and double kudos on excellent research) with the mythos of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise. It does raise a lot of questions but overall its interesting and dynamic, and helps set the stage for events to come.

I have to give you major major props for using Yuugi's speech pattern as a clue into his mental state in this chapter. It's a concept that's been around a long time in anime and manga, and it's one that not many fanfic writers use correctly. Heck, in the original Japanese, that was one of our clues as to whether Yuugi or Atem is in control - it always bothers me when writers use the wrong "I" pronoun for Yuugi.

I'm really enjoying this series of fanfics. As I was telling a friend earlier, if YGO GX was anything like this, I'd be watching it instead of reading fanfiction!

Wow! I just stumbled upon this story looking for heavy mythology stories to help me through me writers block on my story, and wow! First of all, I must state that while I am not a fan a YAOI and almost didn't read this story due to your warning of such...I think that you made it believable. While I have nothing against YAOI as a concept,(considering I have friends that are gay) almost every story with it in the YUGIOH section is horribly done and almost a mockery of YAOI. So I avoid stories labelled such because they bother me. Yours was tasteful and believable.

I feel like this could be a canon continuation and the attention to detail and character development is an inspiration. I will definately read the rest of the series. I might even go back and read the story that apparently going before this one.

...I don't know what to say. This was just amazing, simply amazing. I could almost feel the intensity of the situation and the grief everyone felt. I was basically cowed by this story. I don't have much to say by way of criticism or question, especially since I know my questions will be answered soon. Still, I have to say that I was expecting a larger role for Marik and Bakura; maybe I'm speaking too soon. Those two have grown on me via fanfiction, I shoul probably revisit the original source to get a better feel of them though. Also, Sara is a wonderful addition to the cast. I like how you're pairing everyone up, they deserve partners, and Kaiba is high on my list of 'in desperate need of a life'.

I can't wait to read part two!

For someone who's never really understood the whole dueling rigamarole, the fact that this series keeps making me come back for more is rather disturbing. I understand that you're off your Yu-Gi-Oh! kick, but I have to say, if you ever wanted to write some Seto/NewKisara fics again, I'd be behind you 200%. It's honestly my favorite pairing for the entire fandom, and she wasn't even a real modern character. The way you portrayed Sarah (I think, I forget what you called her) was fabulous. She's the best semi-OC ever.

Besides, Kaiba needs some loving ;) and a good fic with that is rare. You are a genius, and... you're awesome... and you're the only author on my Author Alert list because you're the only one great enough for that level of stalking.
