I don't know if you'll see this, and I don't even know if you're still active here, but I couldn't leave your story without writing a review. First of all, I'm sorry: English isn't my first language and I'm afraid there will be mistakes im my review. That being said...

Thank you so much for this beautiful, beautiful story. Thank you for all the time you took to describe your characters and to guide them until the end. You begin with very young, cute characters and I love the way you took your time to make them grow. During the first years, they act like actual children and it's really brilliant because so many writers forget to think about this. And in the last chapters, I loved the way you made them act like young adults, almost teens: they're only 20, they just want to enjoy their lives and they can't. This is such a tragedy, and you perfectly described it.
The thing I loved the most in your story is the way you depict Remus. All the episodes in the Shrieking Shack, all the moments about Remus' lycanthropy, are perfect. You perfectly showed how horrible it is to be a werewolf, the loneliness he would have to face as an adult, and how the transformations are a physical and mental torture. I felt so bad for him. Your Remus is absolute gold.
I also loved the evolution of Peter. The way he switched sides and went to Voldemort is very realistic. I couldn't imagine how such a coward could have made everything on his own. Actually, he has been manipulated by the Death Eaters and Voldemort from the beginning and I loved it.
Your Sirius was really good too, because you gave him a lot of flaws (especially in his relationship with Regulus), just as he is in canon, but unfortunately people tend to forget that... And your James is very cute and charming, he's like a big child but he can do so much for people he loves.

Another brilliant thing is how coherent is your story. You wrote almost 100 chapters and everything is coherent, every detail finds its place. The war doesn't begin when the Marauders are old enough to fight, but in their very first years at Hogwarts; and Voldemort's name is mentioned rather early, so the war doesn't happen all of a sudden and it is a really good point. The part with Snape and Peter switching sides, plus all the suspicions about the traitor, is also very coherent. Congrats for this, because I don't think it was easy to do!
And in the same time, you manage to stick to canon, especially with the DADA teachers' curse. They were all very different, but Crane and Finely were terrifying.
I just wish the relationship between James and Lily during Hogwarts was a bit more developed, but this is a Marauder fiction, and not a Jily, so I understand it.
There would be so many things to say: the Animagi, the running theme of the phonograph, the Marauder's Map, the references to Molly with Gideon and Fabian... Oh, and of course the last part with Sirius and Hagrid and Peter, I almost cried. I loved so many things but unfortunately this review is becoming too long.

Again, thank you for this beautiful story, one of my favourites, if not my favourite Harry Potter fanfiction. I hope you're fine and everything's good for you!

Okay Remus is cute but if I were Pomfrey Id have been TERRIFIED if they cut it so close. Also Crane should be fired for that...he endangered students purposefully! Great detention btw so gross!

Omg I love love love this! The description of the shrieking shack, the detention where Crane went for his wand...go Remus for sticking it to him! I loved where he told him with this you can't! I now am suspicious of what Crane is going to do to poor remus next though...I trust him not! And its so cute how the boys want to get revenge for remus! Love it!

Once again I'm all awwing over this chapter. It has a wonderfully easy flow that sucks you into the story even though your brain is going NO NO NO DONT GET ATTACHED IT'LL ALL END IN TEARS! Damnt...now Im attached to these kids...

Arghhhhha Crane is a moron! That is all! He may be the worlds worst DADA teacher for the simple fact that he basically forgot that Remus was a werewolf. Grrr. I hope Remus eats him alive!

See what happens when you link me to your story...be prepared for my binge reading and reviews...muwahaha! So, I love how the characters all enter one at a time and we get to see them introduced. Its great and we get a peek into their heads without too much information yet. Ive got a warm and fuzzy feeling reading it so far!

The world needs more stories like this. Thank you so much for writing possibly the best fanfic ever written.

So this review is several years late, and you might not even check this account anymore. But, I'm feeling nostalgic, so why not.

I'm here to thank you for writing the story I read many years ago(a decade?) on a site I never visited before, in a language I didn't understand.
It took me months; 'Do you want to make a memory' on one tab and translate on the other, but I slowly figured it out.
And even now, when I scroll through the chapters, I know where and when I started to understand certain words without checking, where simple grammar became easier.
Where I started to really understand the (amazing) story itself. I can honestly say this is the story that helped me with my English education. More than any teacher could, as it showed me the joy of reading in English.
And for that I can never thank you enough.

I try to leave reviews on every story I read, here and on other sites, since I really appreciate all the things writers share with the rest of the world: funny, creative, original, hard-worked on stories that deserve all the love. And this one is number one.
Writers never see what kind of imprint you leave behind, through a pc screen or on paper. I could talk all about the growth the characters make, the parts that created strong emotions - fear, happiness, second-hand embarrassment- or the times I actually cried (The ending. With every reread, it's the ending.) But it wouldn't describe the impact it left behind /after/ I wiped away the tears, or squeeled with joy; I started drawing cerain moments in the story, I learned how to write myself and I convinced myself to enter a student exchange to Scotland that taught me so much, and you really got that ball rolling.
And so, this is the Final Review, you could say, as I've come full circle and posted one where it all began.

This chapter as kinda fun for some reason. I like seeing the boys try to figure out problems. And I've always liked the laughing pear. XD Sucks that they're having to work so hard, but it wouldn't be a story if they didn't!

Euch, having to faint hearing your own pained screams. Definitely something I would hate looking back on. Enjoyed the tidbit of Lily. )

Oh man, now I'm just so curious to see what is HAPPENING to this poor boy now. ) I like that new problems just keep popping up.
