Ava chapter 3 . 2/27/2017 this made me sad... you seem to write exactly what my sister and I are like ( me as Lucy) we used to pretend we were Susan and lucy... then things changed... :'( you should write Susans reaction to their deaths... that is what happens RN right? |
Dino-Rogue chapter 3 . 8/26/2015 What an absolutely enjoyable and amazing fic! Such good writing... glad their last time together did not end solely in bitterness... though, Susan probably realized after this that there will be no next time... no more. |
BabochkaX chapter 3 . 12/22/2012 Aww! This was so good, was practically shouting at Susan at the end since of course there won't be a next time. You have the characters brilliantly as well! |
Dressagegrrrl chapter 3 . 12/10/2011 Oh, I love it. Heartwrenching... the back story to "Susan is no longer a friend of Narnia." Beautifully written. |
sarlovesoccer chapter 3 . 7/15/2011 Wonderful!And I like your profile picture.:P |
C. Olson chapter 3 . 10/12/2010 I thought this was a very touching and effective story. A good source for postwar British culture is a new book (blurb from OCLC): Austerity Britain, 1945-51 Author: David Kynaston Publisher: New York : Walker & Co., 2008. Edition/Format: Book : English : 1st U.S. edView all editions and formats Summary: "As much as any country, England bore the brunt of Germany's aggression in World War II and was ravaged in many ways at the war's end. In Austerity Britain, celebrated historian David Kynaston has written a hugely ambitious and compellingly readable account of the following six years, during which the country indomitably rebuilt itself." "Kynaston's great genius is to chronicle England's experience from bottom to top: coursing through the book, therefore, is an astonishing variety of ordinary contemporary voices, eloquently and passionately displaying the country's spirit even as they were unaware of what the future would hold. Their stories also jostle alongside those of more well-known figures such as journalist-to-be John Arlott, making his first radio broadcast, actress Glenda Jackson, and writer Doris Lessing, newly arrived from Africa and struck by the leveling poverty of postwar Britain."-BOOK JACKET. LadySaxophone chapter 3 . 9/19/2010 i like this story. it shows that just because Susan chose not to believe anymore does not mean that her siblings suddenly stopped loving her/having a good time with her. A loooot of other pieces do that. |
Fierce Queen chapter 3 . 1/26/2010 Great chapter, LittleOtter! I liked it! Aslan's Blessings, ~Fierce Queen |
Fierce Queen chapter 2 . 1/26/2010 This is good! I never knew, for some reason, that you wrote more than one chapter. It's great! I love it. :) Aslan's Blessings, ~Fierce Queen |
Yyunesprith chapter 3 . 11/25/2009 It felt a little bit heavy-handed at times, but I... liked it. Very much. I think you caught Susan's despair without being sappily angsty about it, which is a rare find. |
Eden chapter 3 . 10/27/2009 I thought for sure this whole story was only going to be fluff but you proved me wrong! It had a reasonable conflict added to it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You kept Susan and Lucy in character well enough and it didnt seem like Susan was a party girl fanatic. It bothers me that everyone sees her like that and makes it extreme. There was one problem. I would have thought that Susan would have forgotten all about Narnia by now but you made it seem like she still remembered. Thanks for the good read! |
foreverkneeld chapter 1 . 10/2/2009 Too many people do this. Try to think of a different plot for your story. But, I think you did a good job of it! This is actually from Eavis's little sister, Borwyn. I've only written 1 story so far (it's called "The Answer") but I've had a LOT of experience in the critic business. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see the ending! |
zebrasdancing chapter 3 . 7/2/2009 very good |
duj chapter 3 . 3/15/2009 Excellent story. Poor Su. This seems to me to go very well with one of my favourites, Reebus's "Calling Back", which is set two years after the accident. Have you ever read it? |
Magna Parva chapter 3 . 2/1/2009 Just to set the record straight - Susan says to herself, "Maybe next time," but next time never comes, right? Because by then, the Pevensies, Jill, Eustace, the Professor and Polly are dead and/or gone, right? Back to Narnia, anyhow. Is there a sequel to this or something? |
