I love this story, I love David, and, in a very real, (but also silly way) I love you. I will forever hope that this eventually gets finished, but I also hope to one day walk into a book shop and see some remark on a new book saying - yeah, they started out on teen titans fan fiction.- and seeing this new critically acclaimed book is from you.

This is one of my favourite stories of all time, I check on it about once a year since finding it (means I've read it whole about 7 times, (although three of those times were in extreme succession, as I wanted to stop myself from rushing maddly ahead like I always do, and so had to reread a few chapters)

Damn. I seriously love this story...I am normally so very much against OCs. But, I really don't think I have ever seen such a good OC Integration... regardless of fandom (and I read like 12, both here and ao3) in my mind robin still comes back, hell, in my mind robin isn't yet really dead, but I love and adore how you gave the two bit character of warp, some serious bloody character, how seeing his future loss of the titans to future David, gave me legitimate chills. And robins death made me numb.

I think, (I hope) I gave a review a few years ago, remarking on why I'm so disappointed in that I didn't discover this earlier, (due mainly to stupid ffnet tags) but I want to say again, my word, how well you rewrote scenes, Starfire saying, (going from memory) "our spark/flame could reignite the stars" cyborg just not giving up, and raven/BB. Urgh. God's how I wish for an update...sigh. guess which fic I'm going to reread from entirety yet again over the next few days?.

Damn good story bro. I really can't think of a single thing to critique. The mindscape scene of David? Brilliant, jinxes character? Brilliant. THEM PLAYING BAD MOON BLOODY RISING AT THE LITERAL APOCALYPSE? (Seriously, makes me think of beast boy and cyborg every time I hear that song-and ofc robin would have said no-thats why he had to get shot).

Hoping for more, but thankful for what we already got from you.

Did you die? Have you given up? Where have you gone awesome writer person? Please, we need closure for such a great story. It's just too sad to basically write a book I couldn't put down and then not have a final chapter. It's been 6 years i've been checking in and I'll keep checking.

I'm depressed. I'm so depressed that this story will never get the conclusion it deserves. It physically pains me that this is where it all ends. You're literally right at the finish line, for crying out loud! Are you seriously gonna end the story like this? Right before the final showdown with Trigon?! PLEASE! You can't do this to the reader! It's a freaking sin! After everything these characters have been through, you have to finish their story!

I can't take this anymore. The only thing worse than a badly written story is an amazingly-written story that's just abandoned. I would kill to have the writing talent you have, and you're just gonna drop off the face of the earth and vanish on us, never to write again? How could you do that? It's just so cruel that it boggles my mind. Such a waste of talent is criminal...

David is perhaps the greatest OC ever created. You could've easily turned him into a Gary Stu. Instead, you made a beautiful confused little boy full of flaws and self-doubt and who just wants a place where he belongs. I love him. I love how you've portrayed each of the characters, but I love him most of all. I genuinely mean that, by the way. I LOVE him and I LOVE this story.

But I have a broken heart now. I know this story will never get an ending, which makes me sad beyond belief.

But If you're still out there, please give us a sign. Tell us this story will continue. Please, I'm begging you...

Are you ever going to finish this up? It's been 5 years! I've been checking this for literally five years. How do you just give up on such an excellent story?

You owe it to yourself to finish this story. The sheer amount of time and effort you've invested thus far cannot be wasted.

And trust me, leaving a story like this unfinished would constitute nothing less than a total waste. You have the opportunity to complete a work of art, to forge a masterpiece that will always be remembered.

So long as this story remains unfinished, however, it cannot be anything other than unfinished. Like a movie that suddenly goes black at the end or a book with the last pages ripped out, no story can be called a masterpiece without a proper conclusion.

I really would have liked to have seen how this one ended, but I'll be satisfied with this. This has been one heck of a journey to read, yet it has been an incredible one. You really have a talent for this, and I hope that even though you are no longer posting here, that you are putting that skill to use in your life. Thanks for the story!

I really like this story, and how u managed to shift the plot away from the series when adding an Oc. Though I feel a little peeved that almost every character just doesn't understand each others feelings, like Devastator the original David, I completely understand why he killed so many villains and am on his side when I say that those villains really did deserve to die, I... Never mind I'm tired right now and am to lazy to put down my own opinion at the moment, anyway lovely story and can't wait for the next chapter.

well, according to this it's been four years since your last update... Really would like to see the last chapter.

The rationalization about superhumans being above the law... nnnno. First off any society with supers in it would have laws written up covering it-either positively or negatively- before the first superhero or villain finished washing their tights. Secondly, while the Law may not cover all the particulars of how various super powers work, it DOES cover any possible deed that could be committed with them. We had laws against murder long before we had the gun, or even had bronze swords. And legal precedents for any truly exotic circumstance would be quickly established.

IRL, there are several laws already that would cover heroic deeds: the Good Samaritan Laws, the Greater Good principle, etc. Good Samaritan laws generally provide basic legal protection for those who assist a person who is injured or in danger. In essence, these laws protect the “Good Samaritan” from liability if unintended consequences result from their assistance. The Greater Good principle is the general principle that charges are not pressed for committing a minor crime to prevent a greater one- breaking down a locked door to prevent a murder, for example.

A true story for you: a man got arrested some time ago at a protest. A pro-constitutionalist group was holding a rally for lower taxes, the right to bear arms, etc. and a counter protest (pro gun control) brewed up. One of the gun-control protesters got in the face of one of the pro 2nd amendment protesters, got violently agitated, accusing the man of being violent, wanting to kill children, etc... and despite the other man's best efforts, attacked the guy with his fists.
It was revealed later that the assaulted 2nd Amendment protester had a concealed carry permit, and was in fact carrying a self-defense pistol on his person at the time. Video taken showed the other man had roared insults at him, even bloodied his nose- yet he had remained calm and never raised his fists or even touched his gun.
What's my point here?
It's been demonstrated, just as in this incident, that it's not those who wield guns or other weapons who are the most dangerous and violent- **it's the fearful.** It's the reason that in nature herbivores tend to be MORE violent overall than carnivores. The prey animal thinks it has nothing to lose; the predator, on the other hand, knows exactly the kind of damage its claws and fangs will cause, and shows more restraint.

Whether it's bearing a firearm or other weapon or a martial art, those who wield force, especially deadly force, have accepted on some level the responsibility of their own defense and the responsibility of having such power at their disposal... they are, all else being equal, the more serene for it. Those who shun even necessary force, who refuse to hold a gun for fear that even touching one will make them explode into violence, deep down do so because they feel helpless and afraid- and so are more likely to lash out in violence without warning; to double up their fists or reach for a club or a knife or even the feared, evil talisman of a gun and wreak havoc on those around them.

David struggles because he FEARS his power? No, because he fears his potential for violence. To one who willingly accepts that even deadly force is a possibility, it is nothing more than another option, and thus an option they can pick up or set aside. To someone like David who fears it, though, who lets his fear fester and grow, it becomes built up more and more into this terrible demon that he is CERTAIN will someday overwhelm him... and so in the end, does.

Sheep fear violence. The wolf knows it.

ugh. Not blaming you for this, but Beast Boy's conversion to Veganism just raises his Punchable Face quotient... his writer's rationalization is so incredibly idiotic. "Dude, I've BEEN half the animals on that all meat pizza!" So? He's also been all the animals that EAT those animals. Most of the animals he turns into are predators somewhere on the food chain. Many, such as cats, are complete obligate carnivores- a vegetarian diet would KILL them. Respect the animals? Respect the predator too!
