I think L is somewhat glad to be able to visit Light's grave and believe there was maybe something good in Light, or something that cared for L, what with the anonymous message and all that. It's his privilege to decide what to think of Light, since Light is gone now. But on the other hand interesting does not mean good, instead perhaps just that L does not fully understand him and can never forget him. Because who could forget an experience like that?
I love Light being so messed up as to starve L into submission, and L's refusal to cave to him even when he is forced to use the Death Note and even when he thinks he will die. And I love how even after all that he still wonders, "In another world could we have been friends?"

It super sucks that the Kira Investigation HQ gang had to die, but that's the wonderful thing about fanfic- it's not real! So I can enjoy without crying a river. L and Watari live to fight another day, and my mind's abuzz with where this could go...
But it doesn't need to go anywhere from here! Because there's something so perfect about where it's at now!
