   foggySnowDay chapter 7 . 11/11/2015 Hi Whistlebird! I wanted to compliment you about your story, it's very... capturing? Is that the right word? Never mind, you're story is AMAZING! The way you described Miles' feelings and thoughts about being connected with the creatures is impressing, really. I know you're not posting since 2011, but I'm really curious about next chapters, it would be amazing to know what'll happen next *-* Like always I'm fixated with someting that tecnically's dead, like this series I stupidly started to love only a few weeks ago watching it on the internet (I was too little to appreciate it when t'was aired on tv LoL)... but it happened " I'm serious, your story would have been a good continuation, Â I hope you'll continue it soon. - foggy. |

You nailed it, the brief (but accurate) introductions were enough to spark my memory without becoming overwhelming, and the first person view (although it's something I don't normally enjoy) was handled very well, I found the characters behaviour consistent with the tv series and it avoided alienating me from the cast. *I'll definitely be checking out your other works.* CreatureOfAbyss |

I came across your story after watching the TV show "Surface" for the first time (like many, I was saddened by the fact that a season two had not come out and was wondering if other people had written stories about what THEY think might have happened after the season one closing scene). I have to say that I have read many Surface stories now, but yours is by far THE BEST one I have come across! You capture the characters amazingly well (not an easy task with already existing characters) and of course Nim and Miles are my favorite so I like that you have chapters dedicated to just them. I also love, love, love the plotline you have created! It is amazing and ties in with the original story line in a fantastic way! I did notice that you haven't updated in about 17 months now and while I know that most writers don't come back to their stories after leaving them unwritten for so long, I must ask, nay plead, with you to start writing for this particular story again! I will understand if you can't come back to this story after so long or have no desire to (I am a writer, too. I write for Lord of the Rings), but I figured it could not hurt to ask. :) Keep writing, no matter what you are writing about! Kaisaan |
